Inspiring Conversations with Jason Bryant of Jason Bryant CPT

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Bryant.

Hi Jason, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey into the fitness industry did not begin until I was over 30 years old… In 2012, my father needed open heart surgery, and in 2013, my mother required the same. Heart disease was now on both sides of my family medical history, and I was overweight. I knew I had to do something.
I changed my eating habits, and began to study all that I could about exercise, taking classes, courses and certifications. From 2013 to 2015, I lost 75 pounds. It wasn’t easy, but I decided that I would devote my time and energy to helping others struggling with similar challenges; to help them reach their goals…

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Honestly, I’m very thankful that it’s been a smooth process. Some of the courses for certification were difficult, but I enjoy learning new things and challenging myself. Covid shut down was hard, but I was able to utilize my past career (internet sales and graphic design / web design) to make it work. Offering both in person and online personal training services was very helpful. I think all business models had to adapt and try new ways of overcoming. Since then, I’ve branched out into accountability coaching as well, to help those who are already exercising or living active lifestyles, offering motivation and support.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I specialize in weight loss, fitness and performance training. My approach is whole body and mind, from the movements to the mindset. Trying to help others enjoy the process. Offering a wide variety of modalities, from boot camp style kettlebell and battle rope workouts to more traditional strength and conditioning methods. I enjoy applying many of the principles I’ve learned over the years and through various courses in a combined fashion, to provide effective and unique workout plans.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I was born and raised in an alliance. Love all the nearby lakes, walking trails, being close to bigger cities but still living someone small enough to cross the main streets walking. I also appreciate that most of my family is here, within a ten mile radius. And of course, my favorite local restaurants (can’t meal prep and cook healthy every day lol)
