Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabrielle Lovelace.
Hi Gabrielle, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been licensed in the hair industry for almost 8 years. I got into hair because I wanted to help people, enhance their beauty and also feel like I was putting good back into the world.
I had done hair for about 4 years before I had my oldest daughter. After working in a traditional salon for the years leading up to that- I knew I needed a change. With a nudge from my husband, I took a leap a few short months after she was born to go out on my own. I juggled being a new mom along with self employment for a couple years until March of 2024. I had a great opportunity presented to me and all of the ducks kept falling right into place to where I was able to purchase and launch my own salon. May of 2024 I was able to officially launch + start my own salon. In this past year we have grown immensely. My staff has grown, along with the services we offer + the education we have experienced this year.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The salon ownership aspect has come with its share of uncomfortable scenarios and growing pains. Thankfully I have been so fortunate to experience more highs than lows! I have grown so much as a stylist and business owner!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I own a full service salon. We provide men’s and women’s hair services, spa facials, face + body waxing, nails, bridal hair + makeup and permanent jewelry. We hope to be set apart from other spaces for the attention to detail + care that we put into each service. I have a staff that is so attentive to details, great at what they do + extremely caring. There’s a lot of effort and care that goes into every service we do.
What’s next?
We are hoping to expand our bridal team to be able to accommodate more local brides in the upcoming years.
