Inspiring Conversations with Ariadne Mechelle Ray of Wardrobe Essentials

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Ariadne Mechelle Ray.

Hi Ariadne, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story. 
I studied fashion at Kent State University as a Fashion Merchandising major while still obtaining roles within fashion shows and collaborations with brands like Brooklyn Bleu. 

In 2018, I obtained my business license as Ariadne Mechelle LLC., but hadn’t done anything with it until 2020, where I launched my T-shirt brand. A few weeks after launching, I found out I was pregnant with my daughter and believed there was no point in continuing business since my life was changing. 

In 2022, the idea of entrepreneurship came back around, and I changed the business from selling T-shirts to organizing closets, styling, website design, and so much more. 

Shortly after, I realized that I was offering too many services, and that’s where Wardrobe Essentials & Co. came into play -Wardrobe Closet Transformations and Personal Shopping sessions. Fashion has always played a huge role in my life, but it wasn’t until I met my love for the organization that I really put the pieces of Wardrobe Essentials & Co. together. 

I got to where I am today through my faith in Jesus and simply going back to the drawing board. I always knew I loved fashion, but I didn’t know where it would take me or how it would play a role in my life as an adult. I am excited to say that I know now and so many people’s lives have changed because of WE & Co. 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road, but I wouldn’t change the obstacles for anything. Some of the struggles included being new to motherhood, dropping out of college, finishing college, and changing my business many times while still trying to show up for myself. 

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Wardrobe Essentials & Co. is a wardrobe organization company that focuses on transforming the lives of women who struggle with organization in their closets and finding items that work well with their body types. 

The services we have to offer are Wardrobe Closet Transformations and Personal Shopping sessions. 

What sets us apart is that we want to see women’s lives transformed after working with us. We don’t want to just come in and organize their closets or to only help them pick clothes that work best for their body types. We want to see their minds changed about how they see themselves and their things. Our goal is to help women stay organized in their wardrobes so they can be organized in their minds. 

I am most proud of the consistency! We’ve been showing up heavily on social media, and the work has been paying off. I am excited to onboard more clients this month. 

I want you all to know that we are a traveling company and would love to work with each of you to correct your Wardrobe Malfuctions. I also want you all to know that consistency and discipline is extremely important, not only in business but in your everyday life. You have a purpose in life, you are special, and God created only ONE you. Embrace your gifts, talents, differences and don’t be afraid to step out and be who God has called you to be!

What makes me happy is my family, traveling, trying new things, and simply being an entrepreneur.
