Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaliyah Wallace
Hi Aaliyah , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
As a young girl, I always knew I had it in me to be my own boss. I can remember as a child writing out a business plan about having a cleaning company with a good friend of mine. Unfortunately we were 10 years old at the time and the way child labor laws are set up, our parents had to redirect our energy into clubs and sports instead!
Fast forward 17 years, the thought recentered my head when I was in a place in my life where I really needed to find my own path. I had done the college thing and over time, working for a few different companies, I had gained a lot of experience and confidence in myself to take that next leap of faith. I knew anything I put my mind to I would give it 100% and so I was eager to see how far I can take this new endeavor! I haven’t looked back since!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Honestly, I believe God had put me in a place where I had all the tools and support to take the risk when I first started out ! Of course there are those clients you can’t always please and building a team of like minded, dedicated people is hard to come by especially in this field but overall it’s been a steady incline . I think just me being patient with myself and trusting the process , understanding that losses come with wins, and celebrating those small victories reminds me why I started this journey to begin with!

Here at Tidy Angels our mission is to provide a luxury, affordable, cleaning experience to local residents. We pride ourselves on personalizing each and every clients experience to fit their needs . We offer a wide variety of cleaning and organizing services from a whole home deep clean to paper shredding and organizing files. We specialize in move-out/in deep cleanings and post construction clean ups as well! I’m proud of the fact that anyone who needs a fresh pair of eyes on a new project or just a helping hand can call us. We are always ready & eager to take on a new task! We are minority woman owned and operated, providing opportunities and jobs in our community. We found that our girls love the environment we work in and are able to develop and learn a new set of skills that they can use for the rest of their lives. I am proud that we are able to provide a service our community was lacking previously and fulfill that need with high quality customer service!
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Luck happens when preparation meets opportunity! In that case luck has always been on my side, as well as God! God has been preparing me for this my whole life and when the opportunity presented itself for me to showcase my skills, my work ethic prevailed! Even if I sometimes bite off more than I can chew , there is always a lesson to be learned so that the next time I’ll be prepared- how lucky am I!! Have a lucky mindset and I think you can find yourself in many rooms you’d never imagine !
