Hidden Gems: Meet Tiffany Pettis of Sold By Pettis Legacy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Pettis.

Hi Tiffany, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey has definitely not been a straight line, and honestly, I think that’s what makes it meaningful.

I began my career in banking, where I spent more than 13 years working in customer service. During that time, I learned the importance of communication, problem-solving, and truly listening to people. Many of the skills I use today as a Realtor were developed during those years—building relationships, earning trust, and helping people navigate important financial decisions.

While I was successful in banking, I felt called to something that would allow me to have a more direct impact on people’s lives. In 2021, I became a licensed Realtor, and in 2023, I made the leap into real estate full-time. It was one of the most exciting and intimidating decisions I’ve ever made.

Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve experienced both victories and challenges. Building a business from the ground up required faith, resilience, and a willingness to keep moving forward even when the outcome wasn’t guaranteed. I quickly learned that real estate is about much more than buying and selling houses—it’s about helping people navigate major life transitions, whether they’re purchasing their first home, relocating, downsizing, or creating a new chapter for their family.

Today, I serve clients throughout Northeast Ohio as a Realtor with Real Broker and the Premiere Group. I am proud to have been recognized as Rookie of the Year and later as a Top Producer, but the accomplishments I’m most proud of are the relationships I’ve built and the families I’ve been able to help.

My faith has been a major part of my journey. There were moments when things didn’t go as planned, deals fell apart, or life presented unexpected challenges, but those experiences taught me to trust the process and continue showing up with integrity and purpose. I believe every season of life teaches us something, and every obstacle has helped shape the woman and professional I am today.

Beyond real estate, I’m passionate about personal growth, community involvement, and helping others believe in possibilities they may not yet see for themselves. Whether through my work, mentoring, church involvement, or simply encouraging someone who is facing a difficult season, my goal is always the same: to leave people better than I found them.

If there’s one thing my story has taught me, it’s that success isn’t about having a perfect path. It’s about having the courage to keep taking the next step, even when you can’t see the entire staircase.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not. While I’ve been blessed with many opportunities, the road has been filled with challenges, and most of them weren’t external—they were internal.

My biggest obstacle has been overcoming my own limiting beliefs. For a long time, I struggled with self-doubt, fear of failure, and questioning whether I was capable of achieving the goals I had for myself. Coming from a stable career in banking, stepping into entrepreneurship and real estate required me to bet on myself in a way I never had before.

There were times when I played small, second-guessed my decisions, or allowed fear to keep me from taking action. I had to learn that confidence doesn’t come before the leap—it comes from taking the leap repeatedly and proving to yourself that you can handle whatever comes next.

I’ve also experienced personal challenges, family responsibilities, financial pressures, deals that fell apart, clients who changed their minds, and moments where I wondered if I was on the right path. Real estate can be an emotional business because you’re constantly helping people through major life transitions while managing the uncertainty that comes with every transaction.

What I’ve learned is that success isn’t about eliminating fear or obstacles. It’s about learning to move forward despite them. Every challenge has taught me something about resilience, faith, and trusting myself. Today, I still have moments of doubt, but I no longer allow those doubts to make decisions for me.

The greatest growth in my life has come from realizing that the person standing in my way was often me—and that the person capable of creating the life I wanted was me, too.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Sold By Pettis Legacy ?
My business operates under the brand Sold By Pettis Legacy, and that name reflects the heart of everything I do. Whether I am helping a family purchase a home, sell a property, or plan for the future, my mission is centered around one thing: helping people build, protect, and preserve their legacy.

Professionally, I wear two hats that may seem very different on the surface but are deeply connected at their core. I am a Realtor serving Northeast Ohio and a Family Service Counselor, helping families navigate end-of-life planning and memorialization. While one profession helps families prepare for the future and the other helps them honor the past, both roles are rooted in serving people during some of the most important moments of their lives.

As a Realtor, I specialize in helping first-time homebuyers, families navigating life transitions, and individuals who may feel overwhelmed by the homebuying process. I am known for taking a hands-on, educational approach, ensuring my clients understand every step of the process and feel empowered to make informed decisions. I believe homeownership is one of the most powerful tools for creating stability, generational wealth, and opportunities for future generations.

As a Family Service Counselor, I have the privilege of helping families have meaningful conversations about their wishes, protecting their loved ones from future burdens, and ensuring their legacy is honored. These conversations often require compassion, trust, and guidance during emotional seasons of life.

What sets me apart is that I don’t view either role as a transaction. I view both as an opportunity to serve. Whether I’m handing someone the keys to their first home or helping a family plan for the future, my goal is to provide support, education, and peace of mind.

The thing I am most proud of is the trust people place in me. My business has been built through relationships, referrals, and genuine connections within the community. I want people to know that when they work with me, they are getting someone who leads with authenticity, integrity, and a sincere desire to help.

The word “Legacy” in my brand is intentional. To me, legacy is bigger than real estate and bigger than memorial planning. Legacy is about the impact we leave behind, the lives we touch, the opportunities we create for our families, and the stories that continue long after we’re gone. Through both of my professions, I have the opportunity to help people protect what matters most, and that is a responsibility I never take lightly.

At the end of the day, my business isn’t really about houses or cemetery property. It’s about people, family, and helping others create a lasting legacy for generations to come.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
If there’s one thing I’d like readers to take away from my story, it’s this: don’t let where you start determine where you believe you can go.

So many of us spend years waiting until we feel ready, qualified enough, confident enough, or certain enough before pursuing our goals. The truth is, growth often happens after you take the first step, not before. Some of the greatest opportunities in my life came when I moved forward despite fear, uncertainty, and self-doubt.

I want people to know that it’s okay to evolve. It’s okay to outgrow old versions of yourself. It’s okay to start over, change careers, pursue a dream later in life, or take a chance on something that feels bigger than you. You do not have to have everything figured out to begin.

I’ve learned that success is not about perfection. It’s about consistency, faith, resilience, and having the courage to keep going when things don’t happen as quickly as you’d hoped. Every setback I’ve experienced taught me something valuable, and every challenge helped shape the person I am becoming.

Most importantly, I want people to remember that legacy is built one decision at a time. It’s built through the way we love our families, serve our communities, pursue our purpose, and help others along the way. The impact you make on people’s lives will always be more valuable than any title, award, or accomplishment.

Keep believing, keep growing, and keep showing up for the life you were created to live. Your story is still being written, and your next chapter may be greater than anything you’ve imagined so far.
