Cleveland Sky Studio is a product of ambition, opportunity, and the pandemic. We opened during covid at a time where opportunity and preparation met. Funds were collected mostly collected and sourced from savings and current contracts. During this time, Government funding was being allocated to small business so we took advantage of that. With all these resources in places in was easy to gather materials, equipment, and general things needed for the studio. All that was left was to build it out, seeing that the space we happen to find was rough around the edges, and we were going for a cleaner, more galleria look. It took about a month to build out, and shortly after (1 year), we chose to relocate. From the west side of Cleveland two downtown. We moved into a bigger, more active space where we shared studio space with various other Artist. We worked out of this incubator from 2021 til Summer 2023. We just recently moved to our own smaller space, still downtown. Thru our journey, it hasn’t been too difficult to find clientele; owner Roderick Jackson brought his market along with him in addition to utilizing a variety of online marketing avenues, the studio has been steadily gaining traction. With new developments and plans, we foresee this to continue.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a seemingly smooth road with some rocky moments. Everything is perspective. The way we perceive it is a lot of the resources we have and things we utilize came as a blessing, still having to work for a lot, but that’s life and to be expected. Some hardships we encountered along the way were issues with facility maintenance and utility. Out initial space had some utility issues, which lead us to move, and that whole experience was difficult. Maintaining a consistent customer base steady flow of income was a lesser challenge; we implemented a variety of programs and promotions that helped get clients in the door. Outside of physical space and keeping a continuous flow of customers, no major challenges arouse.

Cleveland Sky Studios is a creative space for creative to utilize offering equipment rental, space rental, photo and video services, creative consulting, and set design. We are located conveniently in downtown Cleveland. We are an Artistic Incubator specializing in photography and videography. Some services we offer span are creative direction, photo retouching, mua packages, equipment rental, filming, podcasting, and but not limited to, creative consulting. We are known for our portrait photography. Specifically commercial and editorial. What differentiate ourselves from others by providing a professional services that’s user friendly. Being able to provide expert advice at an entry-level is what our clients appreciate the most. We our most proud of our brand’s development. From the beginning, we have made a point to prioritize branding and marketing; it’s rewarding to see those efforts paying off. We’d like our readers to know that we facilitate all industries; we’re here ready, willing, and able.

We’d like to give credit to all our clients; they definitely played a major role I helping us sustain thru-out the moves and transitions. A lot of our support came from friends, family, and colleagues. We would like to thank and credit Stephen Midget for housing us while we searched for a home of our own.
