Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Sains.
Hi Paul, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Insain Fitness started 2020 in the midst of the pandemic and after I was fired from my recruiting job. I was let go with 45% of the company due to Covid, and I started receiving unemployment. I instantly had the feeling I will not work for anyone else. I just could not let my livelihood be in the hands of another person/company. I had two friends hit me up and told me, “You should train people and call your business Insain.” They told me the spelling of “Insain” would resemble my work ethic in training, life, and my last name being Sains. I hated it, But! I shopped it around to family and friends, and the response was all positive. So long story, longer. I got straight to work and started training. Ironically, my first client was my boss who fired me. It’s business for me. I don’t take it personal. Fast forward, I developed an online fitness training that exemplifies 10 minutes a day of training. I started giving free 10-minute videos Monday-Friday live on Facebook and Instagram. I also transformed many bodies through 2-week Ab challenges and 💯 mile challenges. I have since built a community of Insain athletes who have embraced the journey of fitness.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Very bumpy, to say the least. I’ve had investments fail. Such as putting up money for marketing and having an event that doesn’t do so well. That’s when I shell out more money than I bring in. I had to learn to stop discounting myself out of earning for myself. You cannot appeal to brokenness, and that means broke pockets. Someone who doesn’t see your value or appreciate it will try to discount you. I had to learn to stick to my prices. I also dealt with website hackers, which helped me tighten up my security. I’ve dealt with shipping merchandise in the pandemic and dealing with delays. I’ve dealt with losing all my clients at once and making no money. So, you have to learn to scale your business.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Insain Fitness?
So Insain Fitness focuses on high-profile professionals who deal with being pressed for time and circumstances. I have created 10-minute regimens to keep you in shape. Separating workouts that isolate arms, back, shoulders, chest, legs, abs, conditioning, flexibility, and balance. All of this can be done without weights or advanced with resistance band workouts. We take away the excuse of time, having no gym membership, and having no fitness equipment. What’s sets me apart is my versatility in training from professional athletes, business professionals, elderly, and even stay-at-home moms. Insain Fitness believes everyone is an athlete. You just have to tap into the mindset. Me being an ex-professional athlete, I tap into some of those moments to bring you into the life of competing and reaching the work ethic it takes to be the best in your profession. The thunderbolt inside the “IF” stands for a scar that looks like lightning from an accident that cut a main artery in my arm. It almost left me without an arm, or worse, dead. This symbol reminds me of my lifeline flowing through my purpose. Fitness is my purpose of connecting God’s people. The scar and the bolt reminds me of this every time I want to give up.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like most about our city is the people. In which could be the same thing I like least. We have so many creative individuals from fashion, athletes, musicians, models, cooks, and more. I love the swag Cleveland possesses. Especially distinguishing ourselves from the rest of the state of Ohio. It feels like we are our own country lol. What I do hate is the same people I love; I have watched tear each other down. I’ve lost friends to gun violence, gang activity, and seemed like a dark cloud hovers over Cleveland. The people can be aggressive and get caught up in popularity contest due to how successful your business can be pushed by the influence of the people in the city. On another note, how can you not love the food, and being a huge sports fan gives me joy in rocking out as a Cleveland Fan.
