Hidden Gems: Meet Natika Polk of The Curve Vault

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natika Polk. 

Hi Natika, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The Curve Vault started simply from my love of fashion. I have always loved putting on the latest stylish clothes. For me, it’s a form of expression of self-love. 

Here at The Curve Vault, we believe when you look good you feel good about yourself. I pride myself in offering excellent custom service through uplifting, building confidence, and empowering women to show that same self-love. 

All these things have made us a favorite with among our customers. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Not at all. It has and still is a struggle right now to continue to get seen by new customers. (Exposure) Funding is another struggle. Especially when there are times when business slows down. But, by far I believe the hardest thing that I’m facing is the amount of time spent on working on my business because I still work full time as a Nurse. 

As you know, we’re big fans of The Curve Vault. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We consider ourselves a curvy girl specialist. We offer our plus-size ladies an experience where you will be treated like family, all while being encouraged to love, embrace and flaunt your curves! I have met so many women on this journey that have fallen out of love with their bodies, for many valid reasons. I always get from ladies “well you can wear a crop top, or catsuit or bear arms because you’re confident, or because I’m not a size 3-4X. I want them to know once you come shop with The Curve Vault, you will leave with enough encouragement to express yourself in anything you want wear. 

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Ha! That I usually don’t open up to new people easily… I can become very quiet at times. I’m very selective about the people I call my friends.
