Hi David, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I began my business journey over 25 years ago. I have truly come from the school of hard knocks. Faced with obstacle after obstacle, I have made my way to become a successful entrepreneur and have dedicated myself to helping people become fit and successful. My passion and leadership skills have carried me from some of the most successful fitness and hospitality chains to owning multiple businesses. With no formal education, I have continued to self-educate myself to become a better leader, coach, and businessman. My portfolio currently includes 7 businesses in 3 different industries, and have been fortunate enough to start and scale over a dozen other businesses prior.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With over 14,000 hours of education from kindergarten through 12th grade, no one showed my how to start and scale a business. I always had that entrepreneur spirt, so I dove right in. There have been many ups and a great deal of downs. From financial and mental stress, daily operation struggles, and typical life pressures, it is never a smooth road… but… in the end, I wouldn’t change a thing. I have learned more about my personal character and abilities along my path than I could have ever imagined. I am proud to say that I have taken every obstacle/challenge and used them as a learning experience.
