Hi Ciara , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Zennox Cleaning is a woman-owned business that began in 2021. I started the company while transitioning out of nursing so I could care for my son during a health challenge. What began as a small cleaning service quickly grew through hard work and client demand. Over time, we expanded from cleaning to offering maintenance services and eventually full renovations. Today, Zennox Cleaning is a one-stop provider known for quality, reliability, and transforming the spaces we serve.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. Starting a business without formal training, guidance, or a clear blueprint came with many challenges. I had to learn everything from the ground up, including how to find clients, manage operations, price services correctly, and run the business in a professional and sustainable way.
There were times when I had to rely on trial and error, times when resources were limited, and times when I questioned whether I was making the right decisions. On top of those challenges, navigating this industry as a woman has not always been easy. I have faced situations where I was not treated as an equal to my male counterparts, and I have had to constantly prove my capability, knowledge, and value in spaces where women are often overlooked.
Every obstacle, however, became an opportunity to learn and grow. I am still learning every day, whether it is new systems, improved processes, or better strategies to scale. The journey has not been easy, but it has made me more resilient, resourceful, and confident as a business owner.

Zennox Cleaning was established in 2021 during a pivotal moment in my life. At the time, I was working as a nurse, but when my son began experiencing febrile seizures, I made the decision to transition into being a stay-at-home mother to support his health. To continue providing for my family, I created Zennox Cleaning. The name itself—Zennox—is a combination of my children’s names, Zariah and Lennox, and serves as a daily reminder of my purpose, my “why,” and the heart behind my work.
Zennox Cleaning has grown into a one-stop-shop service provider offering professional cleaning, maintenance, and full renovation services. We work across residential, commercial, and investment properties, and we pride ourselves on delivering work that meets the highest standards. What sets us apart is our holistic approach: clients don’t need multiple vendors or contractors—we can handle the entire scope, from cleaning to repairs to complete transformations.
Our reputation is built on quality, integrity, and genuine care. We treat every property as if it belongs to someone we love, and we never cut corners. Whether we are deep-cleaning a home, preparing a unit for move-in, or renovating a space for a family or community member, we operate with the mindset that our work reflects not only our brand—but also my children, whose names inspire every project we complete.

Being able to transform a space and positively impact the lives of the people who live there gives me a deep sense of purpose and pride.
