Today we’d like to introduce you to Chawnte Fletcher.
Hi Chawnte, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story is one of faith, perseverance, family, and growth.
Like many people, my journey has not been a straight path. In January 2018, my family experienced a life-changing tragedy when my younger sister, Angel, was shot in the face by her boyfriend on her birthday. She survived, but the incident left her disabled and paralyzed. During that difficult time, I made the decision to step away from my job to help my mother care for my sister and support my family through one of the hardest seasons of our lives.
While navigating those challenges, I never let go of my desire to grow personally and professionally. I continued pursuing opportunities, learning new skills, and believing that there was more ahead for me. Over the years, I developed my career in the financial services industry, helping families protect their futures and understand their options. More recently, I made a major career transition that expanded my ability to serve clients and opened doors I never imagined possible.
At the same time, I continued pursuing my passion for acting and entertainment. What started as a dream became a reality through auditions, networking, film projects, premieres, and opportunities to work alongside talented professionals in the industry. Every role and every experience has helped me grow both personally and professionally.
Today, I proudly wear many hats: actress, entrepreneur, financial professional, caregiver, mother, grandmother, and community-minded leader. One of the greatest blessings in my life recently has been welcoming my twin grandchildren into the world, which has given me an even greater appreciation for legacy and the impact we leave behind.
Looking back, I realize that every challenge was preparing me for the opportunities I have today. My journey has taught me that success is not about avoiding hardship—it’s about continuing to move forward through it. I believe in staying faithful, staying focused, and trusting the process, even when you can’t see the full picture. That mindset has helped me get to where I am today, and I am excited about what comes next.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it has not been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped me into the person I am today.
One of the biggest struggles in my life came in 2018 when my younger sister was the victim of a tragic act of violence that left her disabled and paralyzed. Overnight, my family was forced to adjust to a completely different reality. I stepped away from my job to help my mother care for my sister, and that season tested me emotionally, mentally, and financially.
Professionally, I also experienced challenges. For many years, I worked hard building my career, but there were times when I felt stuck and questioned whether I was truly reaching my potential. Like many entrepreneurs and professionals, I faced setbacks, disappointments, and moments where I had to decide whether to give up or keep going. I chose to keep going.
Pursuing acting presented its own challenges as well. The entertainment industry requires patience, persistence, and confidence. There are auditions you do not get, opportunities that do not work out, and moments when you have to continue believing in yourself even when others do not see your vision yet.
One of the greatest lessons I learned is that growth often comes from the seasons that are the most uncomfortable. Looking back, I can see that many of the struggles I faced were preparing me for opportunities I could not yet see. They taught me resilience, faith, compassion, and the importance of staying committed to my goals.
Today, I am grateful for both the victories and the challenges because they all played a role in helping me become stronger, wiser, and more determined to make a positive impact on others.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a multifaceted entrepreneur, actress, and financial professional dedicated to helping people protect their lives, strengthen their futures, and pursue their purpose with confidence.
Professionally, I work in the financial services and benefits space, specializing in helping individuals and families understand protection strategies such as life insurance, living benefits, and healthcare membership solutions. My focus is on education, empowerment, and making sure people have access to tools that support both their financial security and their everyday health and wellness needs. I am passionate about helping clients see options they may not have known existed and guiding them toward solutions that bring clarity and peace of mind.
“I believe financial literacy and access to information can change the trajectory of families for generations.”
What sets me apart is that I approach everything I do from a place of service and real-life experience. I understand what it means to face unexpected challenges, to be responsible for others, and to have to rebuild and grow through life’s transitions. Because of that, I do not just view this work as products or services—I view it as helping people prepare for life with dignity and awareness.
Alongside my financial and benefits work, I am also deeply involved in acting and creative projects. I am building my presence in the film and entertainment industry through auditions, film roles, and on-set experiences. Acting allows me to express another side of my purpose—storytelling, connection, and bringing real human experiences to life on screen.
What I am most proud of is my ability to balance purpose-driven industries while staying grounded in faith, family, and personal growth. I am a caregiver, a mother, and a proud grandmother, and those roles continue to shape how I show up in both business and life.
Ultimately, my brand represents resilience, transformation, and service. Whether I am working with a client, stepping onto a film set, or sharing my story, my mission is to inspire others to believe in what is possible, even after life’s most difficult seasons.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I would not describe my journey as being led by luck, either good or bad. Instead, I see my life as being shaped by faith, preparation, and divine timing.
There have certainly been moments that others might call “lucky”—being in the right place at the right time, unexpected opportunities opening up, or doors appearing that I was not actively chasing. One example would be opportunities in my professional and creative life that came after seasons of persistence and consistency, even when results were not immediately visible.
At the same time, I have also experienced what some might call “bad luck” or unexpected challenges—personal and family hardships, career transitions, and moments where life shifted in ways I could not control. One of the most defining experiences of my life was stepping away from my job to help care for my sister after a tragic family situation. That season changed everything for me and required me to rebuild and refocus in many areas of my life.
But even in those moments, I do not see myself as unlucky. I see growth, redirection, and preparation. What once felt like setbacks later revealed themselves to be shaping experiences that strengthened my character, deepened my empathy, and prepared me for where I am today.
In my business and career, I have learned that consistency matters more than chance. When you stay ready, stay faithful to your work, and continue showing up even when things are uncertain, opportunities tend to align with your preparation.
So rather than luck, I would say my story has been guided by resilience, timing, faith, and the willingness to keep going no matter what the season looks like.
