Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Maleski.

Hi Sarah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Sarah, who grew up loving dogs, dreamed of becoming a veterinarian and worked as a vet tech
while attending the University of Pittsburgh. While working as a vet tech, Sarah got involved in dog sports, which introduced her to the dog training realm. She quickly learned that her calling was dog training so that she could help create deep, trusting bonds between dogs and their owners. To ensure that all dogs and their owners have the greatest life together that they could. She then joined Flyer’s Paw Zone team and took over the operations here in Dayton with her partner, Matthew.

Flyer’s Paw Zone, named after an amazing dog, Flyer, offers a full range of pet care, including
dog training, boarding, enrichment day care, dog swim time and dock diving, as well as a full
range of pet products like treats, food supplements, toys, leashes, harnesses, collars and
training equipment. Services all come with a reasonable price, and the premises are clean, well
maintained and completely secure.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has never truly been a smooth road, but most roads often are not! I have had the constant support of my parents growing up and even when I decided to move from Pennsylvania to Ohio, leaving my parents behind, they supported me every step of the way. That was likely the biggest change for me. But I have my amazing partner, Matthew here in Dayton. We are our biggest supporters and loudest cheerleaders and together we can travel down the bumpy roads until we find the smooth ones.

dog training, boarding, enrichment day care, dog swim time and dock diving, as well as a full
range of pet products like treats, food supplements, toys, leashes, harnesses, collars and
training equipment. Services all come with a reasonable price, and the premises are clean, well
maintained and completely secure. We have outdoor astroturf yards, indoor play yards, and individual suite spaces so that dogs can enjoy play time no matter the weather. And when they need to tuck in the for night, have their own large suites to snuggle up in.

How do you think about luck?
Life throws both curve balls and straight balls at everyone. Always keeping a positive outlook will benefit the ending. If you always talk about your woes, you will get lost in the mindset. Which can create a sour work environment or negatively impact your business’ future.
