Today we’d like to introduce you to Mike Glick

Hi Mike, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve spent over two decades in the nutrition industry and previously led the infant nutrition and adult nutrition U.S. divisions at Abbott Nutrition, along with other global roles. Since leaving Abbott in 2018, I’ve focused exclusively on start-ups in the nutrition space that were making a major difference and providing some type of medical nutrition or unique blend that was unavailable to consumers until they created it. The genesis of Goode Health came along as I worked with a group of nutrition PhDs and MDs to identify the nutrient deficiencies that most Americans have. Then we looked at potential ingredients people can use to replenish those nutrients. And after sifting through hundreds of ingredients, checking for potency, taste, and quality, we developed Goode Health Superfood Blend. It launched in early 2023 along with an at-home blood test and online nutritional assessment, which allows us to customize your blend for you. We have continued to innovate with new flavors, boosters, and data to support the benefits of using Goode Health regularly.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Making a customized product is not easy, but we have built some strong supplier relationships, and are vertically integrated in our supply chain for many of our custom blends, which allows us to better serve our customers. Additionally, fundraising is difficult in this market – but we are funded by a family office in Greenwich, Conn. who truly believes in the mission and provides tremendous support. Lastly, there is little regulation in the nutrition industry, which allows unethical brands to say whatever they want with little to no penalties. As a scientific-led and transparent organization, Goode Health is constantly focused on how to spread the truth and educate the public so they can make more informed choices for their own health.
