Today we’d like to introduce you to ‘Leah Ali-Johnson
Hi Leah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my business Flourish Headquarters (formerly Elle Corinne PR & Events) 10 years ago in 2014 as a side hustle.
I’ve always had big dreams! When I started my business I was also raising my two-year old son as a single mom and wanted to provide more for him than what I could through my hotel sales job at the time. I had experience working with people and enjoyed being creative in planning events since childhood; so, starting an event planning and public relations company seemed like a natural fit. There were times when I doubted or second-guessed myself, but I still went for it. My parents both played a HUGE role in my entrepreneurial endeavors. They both taught me so much about people and creating memorable experiences.
Over the years, I’ve continued operating my business while working in healthcare sales/marketing roles within corporate America simultaneously. I attribute my marketing expertise to the time I’ve contributed to working within the healthcare field as well as independent work with a variety of clientele through my personal business.
Flourish Headquarters has transitioned throughout the years. Although, I no longer offer private event planning, I have continued to thrive off of empowering women. I want to see all women shine!
Through my business, Flourish HQ, I offer women personal and professional development services and experiences. Some of the personal development experiences I’ve offered have been: 1:1 Coaching/Mentorship, “Love They Self” Group Coaching Program, & “Manifest Your Dreams” Vision Workshop.
In addition, Flourish HQ has services specifically tailored to women in business to offer support with branding and marketing efforts to assist them in obtaining overall growth!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have been many struggles along the way! C’est la vie. That’s life. The struggle that has cost me the most time and money has been my mindset. There were countless times that I can recall doors not being opened because I was standing in my own way. I let doubt and negative self-talk have control. I’ve had to grow through this in order to truly be the woman I want to be, so that I can have the thriving business I am meant to have and impact many lives along the way.
If I could give anyone advice as you are moving through life, career or business it would be to trust yourself. I believe that God provides us with visions we are meant to carry out and the support needed to do so. So, once you have a dream and a plan, act on it consistently, and don’t let anything stop you.

Flourish Headquarters is a boutique consulting agency, a haven, and resource for all women. Our mission is to empower women to exceed their expectations and to support them along on their life’s journey. We are driven by ones desire to flourish, whether that be personally, or professionally. We hope to continue creating a community where women can grow, thrive and lead with love and confidence!
I believe I am known for hosting women’s empowerment and networking events, and also supporting women in business. I am so proud of this; However, there is much more that I have to offer. For example, I am currently working on creating my first independent film, a documentary in honor of my late father. I would love to do a lot more creatively within my business to help women to focus on the core of their stories to generate growth both on a personal level, but also for those seeking business growth. I will be adding new, FUN, creative visual components to my service offerings beginning January 2025.
What I am most proud of brand wise is that I have been able to share myself in an authentic way while making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
A book that I rely on daily is the Bible. I love reading a scripture or a devotional to get my say started! I cannot live without my Google Calendar — it is simple, but fantastic! I use it for both business and personal organization. I also love a planner in print that I can actually write on and mark off tasks myself.
I enjoy using tools like Slack and Asana, In addition, I have used HoneyBook for years with my clients and it has been extremely helpful with branding, communication, invoicing, etc. One of the favorite Podcasts is Style Your Mind by Cara Alwill.
