Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia McCalister.

Hi Cynthia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself. 
My name is Cynthia McCalister, and I am the owner of the IT Company Quality SAP, which I started in 2007. Quality SAP is the home of the Key Spot mobile app. I am also the Author of the book, “YES YOU CAN! 10 Great Ways to Market Your Business.” One thing you will find out about me is that I am not just a dreamer, but I am a doer. The mission of my company, Quality SAP, is to support the growth of small businesses and give back to the community. With my company, we specialize in Website Development, mobile app development, business branding and marketing, and IT Consulting, and in 2016, we launched the Key Spot mobile app, www.keyspotapp.com. 

I had the idea about Key Spot in 2015 based on a dream. I wanted to create a platform where people could support small businesses by finding local gems around them, such as restaurants, services, products, along with things to do; in addition to creating the Key Spot mobile app, I also created a program called Key Spot Business Partners, The program is affordable and the BEST Resource for small businesses. As a Key Spot Business Partner, not only do businesses share their information on the Key Spot mobile app, but they are part of a network supporting each other. Benefits include networking events, both virtual and in-person, grant opportunities, referrals, resource connections, and more! Business registration is FREE on Key Spot for 30 days, and after that, it is just $15 per month. There is no other program like it providing both technology and resource support for small businesses at a price they can afford. 

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As a business owner, the road is never smooth. I have been very diligent, knowing I had a mission to reach as many businesses as possible and support them. Today we have over a thousand business owners who are part of our Key Spot Business Partner Program, and we continue to grow. My biggest challenge is bringing awareness about the wonderful Key Spot Business Partners Program. By sharing the program with your readers and other organizations, it will help us reach our goal of making Key Spot a household name. 

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Quality SAP, our mission has always been to support small businesses and do positive things in the community. Some community events include the SPARK (Supporting Physical Activity and Recreation for Kids) Olympics, where we partnered with the YMCA and created a fantastic event bringing communities in the Cincinnati area together. 

Another example of how we work to go beyond to support our Key Spot Business Partners is through creative initiatives. Within the Key Spot Business network, we have businesses from all different areas, one day I had an idea while attending an in person Key Spot Networking event, attended by other key spot partners, to create a special event package that included products provided by multiple businesses. That day the idea for the ATL Romance Package was born, this is just one example of how we find creative ways to support our Key Spot businesses. 

These examples show how we are more than just a company; we are a company that cares about people and the community. 

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something surprising about me is how I came up with my Key Spot idea. It was literally from a dream I had in April 2015. Some people can’t remember their dreams, but I saw it vividly, wrote it down, and executed on it because I knew it was meant to be for me to make a positive impact on the community and people with the service I was providing.
