Exploring Life & Business with Alyssia Daley of Designing Hope.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssia Daley.

Hi Alyssia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
As a child I was in foster care, I received a lot of mental health services but do not feel that anyone treated me as a person, this made me want to do things differently. I became a social worker because I wanted to help people feel like they were people not just a case number or file on your desk. Designing Hope is that dream for me. It allows me to help children and their families, but show them the kindness and compassion that I feel that I was not always shown. I want to be a leader and mental health and how we treat our clients with dignity and respect no matter what they are going through or how they treat us.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There have been a lot of ups and downs with this business growing. It has been a challenge that I have loved every step of the way. There have been times where I’ve questioned if it was something that I should be doing with my life times where I doubt in my ability to keep things going, but every step of the way I’ve always had people in my corner, helping me and I have an amazing team that works side-by-side with me to grow this dream.

We’ve been impressed with Designing Hope., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
