Today, we’d like to introduce you to Samia Barnes.
Hi Samia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Samia Barnes. I’m 29, and I’m from Cincinnati, OH; both of my parents are entrepreneurs, so it’s no surprise that I became my own boss as well! I’m a wig maker and influencer/ content creator, and I graduated from the University of Toledo with a bachelor’s in communications and media. I have always had a passion for people and beauty for as long as I can remember. My mother was a hairstylist, so I’ve been around beauty my entire life. What began as beautifying fellow students in college has flourished into my full-service cosmetics brand, Prosperity Cosmetics. Prosperity Cosmetics is dedicated to uplifting, encouraging, and inspiring all people, helping others see their true beauty inside and out, as well as encouraging others to continue to prosper and look good while doing so. I also have a new podcast called “The Prosperity Podcast.”
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course, I’ve had a few hardships and setbacks along the way, but that has never stopped me from chasing my Dreams. I always keep god first in everything that I do.

I’m an entrepreneur and influencer. I’ve worked with big brands like Palmers, Express, Ambi Skincare, and many more. I also make wigs and own a cosmetics company. I have my own podcast on YouTube and Spotify.
What makes you happy?
Spending time with my family, traveling, and creating new experiences and memories with my son and family
