At 16, my passion for makeup, fashion, skincare, and beauty ignited, setting the course for my journey. However, life took an unexpected turn as I started a family at a young age, placing my dreams of beauty on hold. For years, I navigated the corporate world, feeling stifled by the confines of a 9 to 5 job and endless meetings that seemed to lead nowhere. Yet, deep within, I knew I was a natural creator and innovator, yearning to break free from the corporate mold. Finally, I boldly decided to leave the corporate world behind and pursue my true calling. Enrolling in nail and esthetic school, I was invigorated and fulfilled, rediscovering my love for beauty and nurturing my creative spirit. Eight years have passed since that pivotal moment, and it has been a journey. I’ve had the privilege of serving countless clients, each interaction a testament to the transformative power of beauty. Moreover, I’ve been honored to mentor and guide hundreds of students, sharing my knowledge and passion with the next generation of beauty enthusiasts. Every day, I count my blessings for the opportunity to touch lives and make a difference through my skills and expertise. My journey is a testament to the power of following your dreams, no matter the obstacles. Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Undoubtedly, my journey was not without its share of challenges. Among them, the most significant hurdle was finding the confidence to accept rejection gracefully. In beauty and entrepreneurship, confidence is key, but it’s also about resilience in the face of “no.” Approaching potential clients and discussing my business quickly wasn’t only sometimes natural for me. Receiving a “no thank you” or even a less-than-pleasant response could be disheartening. However, over time, I’ve learned the invaluable lesson of resilience. I’ve discovered the power of a smile in the face of adversity and the importance of moving forward with determination, regardless of the outcome. Every rejection is an opportunity for growth and refinement, shaping me into a stronger, more confident entrepreneur.

I am an educator, mentor, permanent makeup artist specializing in natural results, and an esthetician. My expertise lies in the art of enhancing natural beauty, particularly in the realm of permanent makeup. I am best known for my ability to seamlessly transform someone’s appearance, making them look and feel flawless while effortlessly shedding years from their face.
What are you most proud of?
My journey to build my business from the ground up fills me with the most incredible sense of pride. Starting with nothing but a vision and determination, I’ve cultivated a thriving practice over eight years. However, what truly sets my heart aglow is my unwavering commitment to continual growth and learning. Even after all these years, I remain dedicated to expanding my knowledge and refining my skills to ensure that I provide the absolute best for my students and clients.

What distinguishes me within the industry is twofold. Firstly, I pride myself on pioneering my field, particularly in Columbus, Ohio, where I was among the first to introduce permanent makeup services. This pioneering spirit has allowed me to stay ahead of trends and set new standards of excellence. Secondly, my unwavering dedication to my client’s well-being sets me apart. I prioritize not just the aesthetic outcome of my services but also my clients’ overall satisfaction and happiness. Respectfully, luck plays no role in my success in both my business and personal life. Instead, it begins with my unwavering faith in a higher power and, equally importantly, in myself. This belief in my abilities ignited the spark that fueled my journey toward realizing my dreams. However, it wasn’t merely a belief that propelled me forward but the relentless dedication to hard work.
Countless sleepless nights were spent researching, honing my skills, and applying them diligently. I recognized early on that success is not handed out arbitrarily; it is earned through perseverance and dedication. I sought knowledge eagerly, attending business, marketing, and leadership classes to enrich my understanding of how to run a sustainable and thriving enterprise. Each lesson absorbed, each skill refined, brought me closer to building a business that would stand the test of time.
