Daily Inspiration: Meet Michael Massey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Massey.

Hi Michael, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Words always fascinated me. How they flow and crash. Being able to paint a picture without an actual brush. That’s what mainly intrigued me then to be able to express myself without any fears or limitations. The microphone booth is where I feel I’m most free. I also heard a kid in the neighborhood one day and I wanted to be like him but better.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The earth spins in a wobble. So, it’s never gonna be a smooth road lol. The challenge comes with getting people to see your vision, building a team to assist your growth and trying not to get discouraged when the momentum is slow. Local support is usually the hardest to garner.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a rapper and E-list actor lol lol. My name is Sceyentifik. I’m known mostly for music. I’ve released The Sceyence Project Vol 1, Carnival Doors, and I’m releasing The Sceyence Project Vol 2 March 11th. I’m most proud of this recent project because I didn’t have the same people with me that were there for the first 2 rides. So, to push past the obstacles of having to work with new people and sounds and STILL put together a great project, definitely proud of that. And the new relationships I built along the way. My authenticity is what separates me. My diverse background, experiences allows me to travel in a few different music realms, whether it’s college, streets, hustling, girls, incarceration, etc.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Everyone around me deserves credit. Good credit or bad credit. Each individual pushed me in a way that they’re not aware of. I learn from silence. I learn from audio. I learn from body language. Musically, my guys push me. They are super super dope artists. Nicasso, Joe Ayinde, Infinite E, Piwreckz, Zavion with his amazing vocals, Soul Digital production has brought out a different side to my writing. The doubters, who fuel the passion, they deserve their credit too.
