Hi Mandy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Mandy Jeanne, and I am Professional Tarot Reader and Spiritual Coach. I learned Tarot and Cartomancy as a child and have been Reading professionally for over 20 years. In March of 2023, I opened Nocturne Tarot, leaving behind 25 years in the hospitality industry to dedicate myself full time using my Gifts to help others.
Through Nocturne Tarot, I offer Craft and Spiritual Coaching, Tarot and Intentional Work education, and offer a variety of unique Metaphysical Gifts and Supplies.
Helping others in this way is my calling, and creating customized, meaningful experiences for my clients is my passion!
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Making the choice to follow my passions was a natural one and something I had been dreaming of for many years. Taking the leap from team-run businesses to a sole proprietorship has certainly been challenging, and I’ve learned a lot about the scale of success. I’m not sure I’ll ever completely understand social media algorithms (you won’t find me on TikTok), but staying open to learning is crucial.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
When I begin working with a Client, I like to discuss a little about what has called them for a Reading. I don’t believe in a “One Size Fits All” approach to Tarot, and in that way, I’m probably a bit of a purist. I believe each Reading and Session should be as unique as the individual; therefore, I enjoy spending the time to understand what is bringing a person to my Reading Table. The Consultation will determine what type of Card Layout (size, length, and depth) will be used, where and how the Reading will take place (will we meet in a quiet coffeehouse? Does a Virtual Meeting work better), and what kind of follow-up would be preferred. This last part is so important- many people will have a great Reading, but what do you do after? I offer my Clients Reading Addendums, continued contact, and Intention Bags so they may continue to manifest their desires. An Intention Bag is a small gift of unique items and talismans, carefully curated to the individual and their Reading.
With my Coaching Clients, the possibilities are enormous! We start by making a list of goals and then finding a schedule and plan to suit. It’s a lot of fun being able to share my knowledge whilst learning from my clients as well! And it’s wonderful to see a person grown as they gain confidence in their natural abilities and gifts!
Lastly, I’m always creating. Whether it’s a Witchy Mystery Box or a Customized Besom or Broom for a client, I like to infuse all my creations with Nature. I do a lot of foraging and will create Herbariums and Crystal Gardens in glass jars. I use dried herbs in the bath soaks I make and for Intention and Spell Jars. Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I had the most amazing childhood growing up outside the city in the woods. I spent my days climbing trees and scouting in the creek. I had a few close friends, but mostly I daydreamed and read any book I could get my hands on. I always felt a special connection with the natural world, and I was happiest by myself, hiding in a thicket with a good book.
