Daily Inspiration: Meet Kehly Amesquita England

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kehly Amesquita England.

Hi Kehly, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started out designing wedding flowers from home on Etsy. I was looking for a way to make income while staying home with my kids while they were little.
Covid hit and I had to pivot. My Etsy store slowed down and I started freelancing for another wedding florist.
After a few years, I decided to take the leap and open a storefront to expand to daily deliveries as well as event work. I will be celebrating 1 year October 2025! Have been lucky to have a supportive husband and extended family, who are always willing to help with my dream.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think a common struggle that most small business owners have is wearing multiple hats. You have to learn to juggle marketing and social media, all while being the sole designer, delivery driver, managing inventory, etc. Finding a balance can be challenging.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a florist that offers daily deliveries as well as wedding and event flowers. I am most proud of being part of the wedding design for a family member of a Cleveland Browns player. That wedding was a on a yacht in Chicago and the whole experience was so fun !

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Wedding are becoming smaller, more intimate but also more personal. Because of this, brides really want every aspect of the wedding to be personalized, including the flowers
