Daily Inspiration: Meet Jessica Simone

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Simone.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always been an affirmations type gal and I’ve always enjoyed sharing that love with others. Just like all of you, I’ve been through some things in my life that have set me back. Instead of dwelling on this, I’ve decided to use it to my advantage – to make sure anyone struggling finds a glimpse of good. I realize that I won’t have the chance to meet every single person walking on this earth to tell them these things – so what better way to spread it than by leaving a trace of it, everywhere I go. In 2018, I started leaving cute, and positive notes on my friends mirrors. Eventually, it lead to gas station pumps, coffee shops, random mirrors that I would find and now I leave a note everywhere I go. I do this in hopes that whoever finds the notes – believes in themselves, believes in good people, and believes in good things. One of my many purposes in life is to remind people of the outlook that they may tend to forget about (and with this crazy world, it’s easy to forget) – to remind them that no matter what, no matter how bad something is, something good is coming. You are strong enough to power through, worthy enough to pursue any and every dream, and that you are enough just as you are. Today, I am leaving post it notes everywhere with the goal of reaching as many people as possible. I believe that changing the world starts with one person. It starts with me. It starts with this. It starts with one post-it note and impacting one stranger’s life.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There were days that I wasn’t sure I was making a difference or that my idea was “too silly.” I was in my head about posting them just to see them get thrown away or people just by pass them. I realized that my goal isn’t to reach everyone, it’s to reach the people that need the note most. It’s been a smooth road knowing that I have impacted at least one person’s life.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Aside from leaving notes everywhere I go, (one day I’ll turn that into a full-time job) I am a household manager. I run your household and make sure that you live in a functional home so that your life outside of your home is functional and as stress-free as it can be. Some people would call me a personal assistant, some would call me a mommy helper, and some would call me an organizer. I like to work very close and personal to my clients so that I can help out to the best of my ability. I do all the things your nanny and your cleaner don’t do. I specialize in laundry, folding, organizing, dishes, errands, cooking/grocery store, and whatever else that family may need. I like to make sure if you keep towels next to your shower – that there is always a towel next to your shower. That you never run out of toothpaste, toilet paper, soap, your favorite fruit, coffee, etc. Everything is stocked. Everything is ready to go. Appointments are set, and ready to go. I update your calendar daily and always make sure you know what is going on. I am so proud of how well I can mesh with all different types of people and truly create a functional home for all different types of lifestyles. It truly changes your life when your home runs smoothly. I create a space that in functional, clean, and organized and I maintain that for you, so you do not have to. My dedication, my energy, and my love for what I do and people as a whole set me apart from others – helping others, helps me and that will never change.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Time is valuable. The people you spend the most time with truly do matter. Your space matters. Your community matters and it can affect you in a positive or negative way. Your health is the most important thing and if you do not take care of your health, it will get in the way later on so take care of your health now.
