Hi Izzy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always had a thirst for baking. I love baking and creating treats for friends and family to enjoy. I began my business about a year ago and have had very few orders. It is underratedly hard to start your own business! I used to make cake pops for fun but recently I have done a couple of orders for family including my intricate unicorn cake pops.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Trying to start my own business has certainly not been a smooth road. Publicizing my at-home bakery and spreading the word has been very difficult. I have some families in my community who have reserved me to bake for various celebrations but am yet to hear about a follow up from them.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an at home baker who specializes in cake pops. While I make cakes too, my main focus is cake pops and I love challenging my baking skills and seeing how detailed I can get. I believe that I can make anything into an edible and delicious looking cake pop!
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I like the community that I live in. I feel like we’re one big happy family. Beachwood has so much to offer while still taking the upkeep of the city very seriously.
