Today we’d like to introduce you to Eddy Poblete.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always been an artist, I started drawing at a very young age, and I remember the drawings my dad would do for me as a child. That sparked the drive to create in me. Throughout the years, I always practiced my work pushed myself to learn and refine my skills.
In my 20s, I started to really figure out what my skills and passions were. Small interests that made my heart happy as a child grew into opportunities as an adult.
I started my entrepreneurial journey back in 2016. At the time I was building one business that started in my parent’s garage and later was a worldwide business my wife and I ran in our warehouse. I pride myself on the fact that I started with nothing except a dream.
Since then, my wife and I have started several smaller businesses, and every single one ran on passion as its main fuel source. I believe that is what has created our own success.
Today, my wife and I juggle a few things. I own and run a metal fabrication business out of my shop, I still create art and share it with the world, we dabble in real estate, and we just opened a little online curiosities shop from our home.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I always tell everyone:
“A good life isn’t easy.”
There’s so much weight to that statement from my own life experiences. Weight that has been very heavy for me in the past.
My parents my brother and I left our home in Peru back in 1999 in hopes of a better life.
I’d love to tell you life has been easy, but for me, it really never has been. As a child, I saw an unfortunate side to humanity, while certain traumas may have shaped who we are today. How we grow from them defines our future.
Life aside the path to success (in any aspect) requires work, work no one can do for you. In my own journey, I’ve had many obstacles and many challenges, but instead of letting those moments stop me, I decided to step back, think, and evaluate.
We’ve experienced mountain peaks and we’ve experienced rock bottom.
But rock bottom made us who we are today.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have a passion for creating.
Today I build off-road equipment by hand, my own design, and only locally.
I also am an artist: I draw and paint with my focus being realism/photorealism.
Those who know me know me as an artist and a very motivated and driven person.
I think with all of my passions aside, what could set me apart from others is my relentless drive to do more.
I love the process as much if not more, than the finished product.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I would like to first thank my incredible and supportive wife Michaela Poblete.
Since the moment we met, she’s always supported my dreams and crazy ideas, and together we made them work.
I always tell her I wouldn’t be the man I today without her.
Michaela, I love you, and I owe every bit of our success to you.
I’d also like to thank my family for supporting me, helping me when I needed it, and for lessons I learned along the way.
My friends, for always believing in me motivating me to strive for more, and picking me up in the moments I was down.
The love and support from my friends have helped a lot of these little passion projects grow into incredible things.
No one can ever really achieve anything alone.
