Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Davis

Hi Danielle, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up I’ve always enjoyed scents! I would sometimes sneak and wear my mom’s perfumes. As I grew older so did my aroma palate. I became obsessed with high end perfumes and candles. I was spending about $100 every three weeks at Bath and Body Works on their candles and wall diffusers. I realized after sometime their products would induce headaches, I had to think of a way to enjoy candles without all the added chemicals and save money too! Queue up the idea for an all natural phthalate free candle business.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I would say a fairly smooth road. I launched February 2024, so coming up on year. Like any start up business funding is always challenging. However, I saved up a nice amount from my corporate job to get me established. I am currently still working a 9-5, so finding time and balance can be complex at times. I also had to find that niche to set myself apart from the rest.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
By day (Monday-Friday) I am a Senior Executive Assistant to the Director of Hematology.
The rest of the time I am the Owner and Founder of Radiance by Dani Candle Co. What sets me apart from most is that I focus on curating luxury, non toxic, all natural products that benefit the health of many consumers. My main focus has been on candles, but I am now venturing into reed diffusers and sprays. I am very proud of my growth and impact I’ve made in just under year. I surpassed my profit goal I set for myself and found my purpose and passion. I am most proud of my customers being able to burn clean candles and enjoy all the relaxing benefits candles have to offer.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Never give up and take your time. Move at your own pace and always bet on yourself!
