Today we’d like to introduce you to Chrissy Cavotta.
Hi Chrissy, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
My very first event was a Fall fashion show back in 2011 at Guarino’s Restaurant in Little Italy. From there, I began hosting fashion shows seasonally at different venues throughout the Cleveland area. I was enamored with the idea of “theme” parties and loved coming up with a concept and bringing it to life. After 12 years of mainly focusing on fashion-related events, I decided to diversify my business and went from the name Tre Sorelle Events to Events by Chrissy Cavotta. Just recently, under the new business name, I have hosted a food tasting, Holiday pop-up shop experience, business launch, Browns Watch Party, Lingerie & Burlesque show, an all-women’s GALentine’s Day Dinner Party, and a Singles Mixer. My plan is to continue to collaborate with other local creatives to bring innovative and unique events to the city.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
They say nothing worth having comes easy, and I couldn’t agree more. Taking the road less traveled is a character builder. In my opinion, the biggest struggle in the life of an entrepreneur is that you are constantly looking for the support of others in order for your business to thrive. Whether it be purchasing a product or attending an event, you are nothing without the consumer. The road has not always been smooth; there has been some rocky terrain, but you push through that and reassure yourself that there are long stretches of level pavement and sunset views ahead!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an Event Coordinator/Production Manager specializing in theme parties, business launches and food centric events, best known for producing fashion shows in the Cleveland area. I am most proud of the fact that when an idea comes to my mind, I see it through and bring the vision to life. Execution is essential. Some people have the dream and not the drive. I am a “doer,” and I strongly believe that makes all of the difference in someone’s success. Moving in a genuine way with love, good intentions, and a pure heart is what I pride myself on.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
People have told me for years that they don’t understand why I am happy all of the time. I find that so comical. I am human, of course I’m not living in a state of pure bliss every moment of the day, but happiness really is a choice. Happiness comes from within. What truly lights me up is sharing positive experiences with people. As someone who produces events, it is so enjoyable for me to see others immersed in the moment being entertained by something that I curated.
