Daily Inspiration: Meet Brittany Nicole

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Nicole.

Hi Brittany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been fascinated with makeup and fashion from a young age. I knew by the time I was in 8th grade I wanted to go into the beauty industry. After watching the show “Face Off” with Ve Neil as a judge and YouTube content creation started to pick up, I knew that’s exactly what I wanted to do. I worked hard through out high school practicing and doing prom makeup on my friend, family, as well as posting my self made creations on myself to my socials. After high school I started an instagram page that I solely based around my beauty content as well as freelancing doing wedding/prom makeup and Halloween makeup. It’s been years since I started that page and have went on to create TikTok, YouTube, as well as Facebook reels and posts. I’ve also expanded my knowledge of beauty with working in counters in the beauty industry, as well as enrolling in a makeup program to receive a certification. Knowledge is important to me, I’m always trying to perfect my craft, learn new tips and tricks so I can pass them to others! Makeup has always been an escape outlet for me when I’m feeling down about myself. I love to share my passion of creating in my post, as well as making my clients feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful, always!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road but that’s okay! I’ve struggled with social anxiety since I was younger but going into the industry has helped me break out of my shell in the best way! I also had to take a year off when my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. It was one of the scariest times in my life. My mother has since conquered it and has always been my biggest supporter!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a freelance makeup artist as well as a beauty/fashion content creator! I like to dabble in a little bit of everything when it comes to makeup but I’m definitely specialized in alternative makeup! I’m definitely known for dramatic eyes with bold lashes! I’m most proud of how hard I’ve pushed myself to keep going and continue to do so! I think what sets me apart from others is that I’m not really scared to take a risk, or stay true to myself when it comes to making a bold choice!

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
I think my biggest advice to anyone starting out is to stay true to yourself, don’t compare yourself or your craft to others and to stay humble. One thing I wish I knew starting out is the importance of consistency, networking and promoting yourself! Hard work always pays off!
