Daily Inspiration: Meet Brendan Lammlein

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brendan Lammlein.

Hi Brendan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My name is Brendan Lammlein and I’m an eighteen-year-old Realtor with Keller Williams Legacy Group Realty. Ever since I was in fourth grade, I knew I wanted to be in real estate. There were so many times as a kid when I would beg my mom to take me to open houses. If I wasn’t looking at homes in person, I was watching videos of homes on YouTube, or scrolling through Zillow for hours on end looking at properties that intrigued me.

There was something about homes that caught my interest from a young age. Once I turned 16 and got my driver’s license, I would spend a great portion of my free time aimlessly driving around expensive neighborhoods just to look at the houses. Right after my seventeenth birthday, I met someone who mentored me and showed me the ins and outs of the real estate industry. That’s when I knew this career was for me! I felt so excited just to be involved.

Being around it showed me that it was everything I thought it was, plus more. Once I was halfway through my senior year of high school, I started real estate school. I paid for the school upfront from the money I saved up from the local pizza shop I worked at, and the LLC that I used to customize shoes for people. There were nights when I would study for 5 hours after going to school, working my normal job, and helping renovate a property.

Preparing for my real estate sales exam was extremely stressful, but I pushed through and passed a couple of months after graduating high school. I’m now the youngest agent at my brokerage and extremely happy with my work environment! My whole life, the only thing I wanted to do was real estate, so I set my mind to it and made it happen. I’m still learning and growing every day, and that’s the beauty of it.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not smooth at all. Struggles were:
– Juggling a lot at once.
– Failing my real estate exam twice.
– Quitting my job while having a car payment, that way it forced me to pass my exam no matter how hard it was.
– People in school telling me I couldn’t do it time and time again.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I help people close and open chapters of their lives by guiding them through buying and selling their homes. I specialize in residential real estate and I’m known for being a young Realtor. I’m most proud of getting up every time I’ve failed and attacking the challenges that I’ve dealt with, to get where I am now. What sets me apart from others is I have a true passion for real estate, and I’ve had the passion before I could even fully comprehend what real estate was.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
COVID was the reason I met my mentor and got introduced to the industry at such a young age. I accidentally called someone who wasn’t my boss, to tell them I was exposed to COVID and not able to come to work. The rest is history.
