Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel McAllister.
Hi Angel, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi Everyone! I’m Angel, also known as thebaddestamazonian. I’m a Cleveland based model from Cleveland Ohio . You might know me from rocking the stage at Showagon and other local shows! Modeling is one of my passions, inspired by my mom, who I always wanted to follow in the footsteps of. Although I stopped as a kid due to unforeseen circumstances, I never stopped dreaming! Now I’m back and fully committed to chasing every goal I set my mind to.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Honestly it has not been a smooth road but that never stopped anything for me. I’ve always had a hard time with things but no matter the circumstances I always bounce back and never gave up.
Going from working at one of my dream jobs to not working at all it honestly took a toll on me because I didn’t know where else to go. All I could think was that I can’t give up. I can’t let myself down or anyone who’s supporting me so I always find another way to fix a problem I have.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I recently returned to modeling, and the journey has been incredibly fulfilling. I’m an entertainer at my core someone who finds joy in creative expression and in making others feel inspired. Whether through modeling or performance, I love doing what makes me happy while also creating moments that resonate with people.
I’m proud of how far I’ve come and of the consistency I’ve shown in pursuing my goals. I’ve never wavered from who I am or what I’m working toward, and that commitment has shaped both my journey and my growth.
What truly sets me apart is how I present myself. I don’t try to be anyone else I choose to be myself, unapologetically. I believe authenticity is powerful, and no one else can bring what I bring simply because no one else is me. I don’t see others’ success as competition; I see it as something to celebrate. I genuinely love seeing people win, and I believe there’s space for all of us to thrive.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Make connections with people in the industry and outside the industry.
Step out of your comfort zone
Yes it is a nerve racking thing but in the end it be worth it.
You end up connecting with people who either helped you or you help them.
But don’t trust everyone because not everyone in these industries have good intentions and will turn on you in a blink of an eye.
