Today we’d like to introduce you to Oleg Rudyy

Hi oleg, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
About six years ago, my wife came across a coffee table online that she absolutely loved. It had a unique combination of wood and a white resin-like material, and she really wanted to purchase it. However, at that time, the price was a bit out of reach for us. She asked me if I could look into making one ourselves since I’ve always been a bit handy.

That curiosity led us down a path of research and discovery. We started looking into the materials and techniques used to create similar pieces, and that’s when we first learned about epoxy resin. Excited by the possibilities, we gathered all the supplies—wood, epoxy, and the necessary tools—and decided to give it a try. Our first project was a small coffee table, more of an experiment than anything. But after seeing how it turned out, we made a second one, then a third, and soon, we started thinking—why not turn this into a business?

We expanded into crafting cutting boards, charcuterie boards, serving trays, and coffee tables, selling them at local craft shows, exhibitions, and to family and friends. In fact, we believe we were one of the first to introduce epoxy resin serving trays, something that gained attention on Instagram and among other woodworkers. One of our videos even went viral, giving us a major boost in visibility.

As word spread, customers began approaching us with bigger and more ambitious project ideas. Instead of sticking to small decor pieces, we embraced the challenge of larger tables, wall art, cabinetry, and even bar tops, incorporating both wood and epoxy resin in innovative ways. With each project, our skills and creativity grew, and we started taking on residential and commercial jobs.

Over the years, we refined our techniques, expanded our product line, and built a brand known for quality craftsmanship and unique designs. What started as a simple DIY project in our garage has now grown into a thriving business, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the journey.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Our journey hasn’t been without challenges. We spent countless hours learning the equipment, mastering techniques, and experimenting with epoxy and other finishes. The time and money invested were significant, but through it all, we never faced any major setbacks—just continuous learning and growth

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories is working alongside my father, building or fixing things together. I loved using the tools, listening as he explained their purpose, and learning how to create things with my own hands. Those moments not only taught me valuable skills but also instilled a deep passion for craftsmanship—one that continues to drive me today.
