Hi Mandy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a professional photographer and live wedding painter who has built a career around capturing life’s most meaningful moments through both art and imagery. By combining photography and live painting, I get to offer a truly unique experience that blends storytelling, creativity, and emotion, allowing my clients to preserve their memories in unforgettable ways.
I started my photography business in 2010, specializing in weddings, families, and corporate events. Over the years, I’ve developed a style that focuses on authentic connections and timeless moments. In 2023, I added live wedding painting to my services, which has been an exciting and natural extension of my love for art.
As a live wedding painter, I create one-of-a-kind heirloom paintings in real time during wedding celebrations, giving couples not only a lasting piece of art but also a beautiful form of live entertainment for their guests. In addition, I offer watercolor portraits for guests at weddings and events. I also create commissioned studio paintings, using photographs as reference to create highly detailed and meaningful works.
I feel incredibly grateful to have built a career doing exactly what I love, combining photography and fine art to tell my clients’ stories in a way that is both personal and timeless.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a pretty smooth road overall. Of course, like any career, there have been challenges and occasional unfortunate events, but I’ve been very fortunate to always have strong backup plans in place. Those moments have taught me how important preparation, flexibility, and problem-solving are. Each experience has helped me grow, both personally and professionally. I’m always learning, especially as new technology and tools continue to evolve, and I enjoy adapting and finding ways to improve my craft along the way.

I am a professional photographer and fine artist who specializes in capturing meaningful moments through both photography and live wedding painting. I truly believe I was born with the gift of seeing and preserving the beauty in people’s lives. Whether through a camera or a paintbrush, my goal is to create timeless images that my clients will cherish forever. Many of my clients begin with me as their wedding photographer and continue to work with me as their family photographer for years, allowing me to document their journey as their families grow. That long-term connection is something I am incredibly proud of.
I am also known for my live wedding paintings, where I create heirloom-quality artwork during weddings and events. What makes this especially unique is that I complete the painting on-site in about six to eight hours, allowing the couple to take their finished artwork home with them at the end of their wedding day. It becomes both a form of live entertainment and a lasting, meaningful keepsake from their celebration.
What truly sets me apart is the combination of being both a photographer and a painter. When I create a live wedding painting, I use my own photography as a reference. This allows me to capture a stunning image with strong lighting, composition, and emotion, and then confidently translate that moment into a painting. I work quickly, intentionally, and with a strong understanding of both mediums. That blend of technical skill, artistic vision, and efficiency is what makes my work unique and something I am most proud of.
