Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaushal Popat.
Hi Kaushal, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I originally come from a small town in Gujarat, India, and moved to the United States to pursue higher education. I completed my Master’s in Biotechnology and later an MBA in IT, which led me into the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Over the years, I’ve built my career in digital transformation for pharma manufacturing, and today I work as Head of Consulting at Körber Pharma Software. My work focuses on helping companies implement systems that improve efficiency and ultimately help patients get access to treatments faster, which is something I find very meaningful.
Alongside my professional career, I’ve always had a strong interest in entrepreneurship. I enjoy learning from everyday situations and looking for small opportunities to solve real problems.
The idea for Quick Notary US came from a personal experience last year. We recently moved to Cleveland from New Jersey. I was in the process of selling my car and realized that in Ohio, the title needed to be notarized. When I tried to find someone available on a weekend, it was surprisingly difficult. That experience made me realize that even though notary services are essential, accessibility can sometimes be a challenge, especially when people need it urgently.
Given my background, where I regularly work with documentation, compliance, and detailed reviews, becoming a notary felt like a natural extension of my skillset. I decided to start Quick Notary US as a way to provide a simple, reliable, and accessible service to the community.
At a personal level, my family has been a big source of motivation. My wife, Heta, has been incredibly supportive throughout this journey, and our 2 years old son, Ansh, inspires me to keep growing and becoming a better version of myself.
As we recently moved to Cleveland, this new chapter has also encouraged me to think more about contributing locally. Quick Notary US is a small step in that direction – focused on helping people when they need it, especially those who may not have easy access to such services.
Overall, my journey has been about continuous learning, staying grounded, and trying to create value in both my professional work and small entrepreneurial efforts.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but I think that’s part of starting anything new.
One of the biggest challenges has been building awareness and trust. Notary services are something people usually search for only when they urgently need it, and naturally they tend to go with businesses that already have strong online reviews. As someone just starting out, it can be difficult to get noticed and earn that initial trust.
Another challenge is reaching the right audience. It’s a service almost everyone needs at some point, but not frequently enough to remember a specific provider. So a lot of the effort goes into simply making people aware that a reliable and flexible option exists when they need it.
Balancing this with a full-time career has also been a learning experience. My role in the pharmaceutical industry is quite demanding, so managing time and staying consistent with the business requires discipline.
That said, I see these challenges as part of the journey. Every customer interaction, even small ones, helps build confidence and momentum. My approach has been to stay patient, focus on providing a good experience, and trust that growth will come over time through word of mouth and genuine service.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Professionally, I work as Head of Consulting at Körber Pharma Software, where I lead a team helping pharmaceutical companies implement digital systems for manufacturing. The goal of that work is to improve efficiency, ensure compliance, and ultimately help patients receive treatments faster. It’s a highly structured environment that requires strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and regulatory discipline.
Alongside that, I started Quick Notary US as a mobile notary service focused on convenience and accessibility. I provide notarization services at a location and time that works best for the client, which is especially helpful in time-sensitive situations like vehicle title transfers or legal paperwork.
In terms of specialization, I would say I focus on being reliable, flexible, and detail oriented. My background in pharma, where documentation and compliance are critical, has naturally shaped how I approach notary work. I take accuracy and process very seriously because even small mistakes can create delays or issues for clients.
What I’m most proud of is being able to build something while continuing my professional career. Even though it’s a small venture today, it allows me to directly help people in the community in a very practical way.
What sets me apart is probably the mindset I bring into the service. I approach it with a strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and customer focus. Especially since I’m still growing, I treat every client interaction as an opportunity to build trust and create a positive experience that people feel comfortable recommending.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something that might surprise people is that I’m naturally a bit reserved when it comes to reaching out to new people. It doesn’t always come easily to me to connect with someone I’ve never met before.
However, I’ve made a conscious effort to work on that over time, especially through my professional career and now with starting my own business. Whether it’s meeting new clients, responding to inquiries, or building relationships in the community, I try to step outside my comfort zone.
I think people who interact with me through work or the business might not realize that this is something I actively push myself on. It’s been a great learning experience and has helped me grow not just professionally, but personally as well.
For me, growth has often come from doing things that don’t feel natural at first.
