Uliana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my journey in Ukraine, where I always had a strong desire to help people feel more confident. Even while earning my degree in economics, I felt drawn to the beauty and aesthetics industry and eventually decided to dedicate myself to this path.

I continuously invested in my growth through professional training, master classes, and international education to refine my skills and develop my own approach. For me, permanent makeup is not just about appearance — it’s about enhancing natural beauty in a subtle and refined way that helps clients feel like the best version of themselves.

In 2022, I moved to the United States, where I started over and continued building my brand in a new environment.

After moving to a new country, I started learning the language. It wasn’t easy, but I stayed persistent and trusted the process. My family was my biggest support — they believed in me and gave me the strength to keep going.

In 2023, I opened my own cozy and elegant studio, UliKor Beauty, located inside IMAGE Studios Salon Suites in Strongsville.

Today, I specialize in natural-looking permanent makeup and also work with clients who need corrections or paramedical treatments, helping restore confidence after scars or medical procedures. My goal has always remained the same — to create results that look effortless and help people feel confident every day.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges in my journey was relocating due to the war in Ukraine. I had to move to a completely new country and rebuild my life and career from the ground up.

Starting over in the United States meant adapting to a new environment, building a new client base, and finding my place among colleagues in a new professional community. It wasn’t easy, especially in the beginning, but I saw every challenge as an opportunity to grow.

Those experiences made me stronger and more resilient. They pushed me to keep improving my skills, stay focused, and continue doing what I love — helping people feel confident in their own skin.

UliKor Beauty is a private, elegant permanent makeup studio located in Strongsville, Ohio. I specialize in natural-looking permanent makeup, including powder brows, lip blush, and eyeliner, with a focus on enhancing each client’s features in a soft, refined, and timeless way.

What sets my work apart is my philosophy — I believe permanent makeup should never look obvious or overdone. My goal is to create results that look effortless and natural, so my clients feel confident without needing daily makeup.

Today, I also teach and mentor students, share my knowledge, and help others succeed in the permanent makeup industry.

In addition to beauty services, I also work with corrections and paramedical tattooing, helping clients restore confidence after scars, previous work, or medical procedures. I also support clients who have gone through medical treatments, including breast cancer, helping them feel whole and confident again.

Beyond my work with clients, I am passionate about education and mentorship. I offer training and support for other artists, helping them grow their skills and confidence in the industry.

I’m most proud of the trust my clients place in me and the meaningful impact my work has on how they feel about themselves. At UliKor Beauty, the focus is not only on beauty, but on confidence, care, and creating a calm, elevated experience for every client.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that every challenge is an opportunity for growth.

Moving to a new country and starting from scratch taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of staying consistent even during times of uncertainty. I learned to trust the process, continuously improve my skills, and stay focused on delivering the best possible results for my clients.

The most valuable thing I’ve realized along the way is the importance of support from loved ones. The support of my family gave me the strength to keep moving forward, not give up, and believe in myself even during the most difficult moments.

I’ve also learned that success is not only about talent, but about dedication, discipline, and genuinely caring about the people you work with. When you put your heart into what you do, people can feel it — and that’s what builds trust and long-lasting relationships.
