Community Highlights: Meet Stephanie Scales of Plantbawdy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Scales. 

Hi Stephanie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When you are sick of being sick and tired, you move your feet swiftly. 

In 2017, I made the decision to go vegan. I’d been on the fence with this thought for quite a while, but it wasn’t until I relocated to Atl that I took immediate action. Being there gave me the accessibility to farmers’ markets and healthier food options. 

After the 3rd year of being vegan, I felt as though there was an open market for me to create a product. This product was a mock vegan “ranch.” This amazing SŌS is called Plantbawdy SŌS (pronounced sauce), it is an alkaline hempseed-based sauce that can be used on salads, wraps, dipping sauce, and really just about anything. 

After launching Plantbawdy SŌS, I was inspired to include a few other beauty and wellness products that are vegan, organic, and 100% made with love. 

I am currently servicing my community through my inspiring journey that I share daily through Instagram but also coaching women who are inspired embark on their own health and wellness journey. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been full of bumps and uneven paths, but I don’t think I would’ve wanted it to be any other way. 

I appreciate the road that I took because I wouldn’t be where I am today had it been freshly blacktopped. 

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I always tell those who are inspired by my journey that I am just like you! I AM A GIRL FROM THE HOOD WHO DECIDED TO GO VEGAN. The majority of life, I ate crap! I drank tons of liquor; I didn’t practice self-care, I had insecurities with my skin, I made bad decisions. I am not perfect, but I did know that I was WORTH it. Worth the fight, worth the sacrifices that I’d have to make, worth the happiness and joy that was on the other side of my sadness. 

Plantbawdy isn’t just about the physical it’s about healing the mind and soul 

and learning how to love yourself in ways you never knew that you could. 

Plantbawdy offers coaching and beauty and wellness products that don’t require a poison control number listed on the back.

My sister Chanel has been my right-hand wombman since I was a little girl. She inspires me through her on philanthropy and entrepreneurship but also as my big sister.
