Today, we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Lahoski.
Hi Sarah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am often asked the question, how is it you got into what you do? I am a transpersonal therapist who works with individuals who are often empathic and intuitive. But I started this journey after the death of my sister. We were all exposed to very toxic chemicals, and she was the only one that got cancer. I started to study Ayurvedic medicine to understand the mind/body connection. During this time my intuition, which I spent many years shutting down, came forward after Archangel Gabriel came and reminded me why I was here and what I should be doing. This shifted my work greatly. I would have never said before this time I would be doing this work since I spent so much time shutting this part of me down. Soon after, I discovered Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, and I passionately trained for over ten years in this modality. I also felt like there was more to therapy than just talking. This hit to a whole new depth for clients and my own personal work. During this period of time, I also received my master’s in counseling and marriage family therapy at the University of Akron. Like everything in life, I started to notice that, like most things, these two things were not fit for everything. Shortly after this time, I started my journey with Core Energetics, which connects to the way we protect our systems and create somatic patterns that, after the first event, create dysfunctional patterns in our bodies. This long journey allows me to sit with my clients to look at the whole pattern of what is creating a dysfunction in their lives to be able to release this and start to move into the potentiality instead of the pathology in their lives.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This was not a smooth road. I had many struggles with embracing the sensitivity and intuitive skills that I was born with. I never thought that I would be working professionally using this gift. I found that as I found some answers to questions, this opened up even more questions, which took me in different directions of training and teaching. In the beginning, the holistic path was looked down upon, and not many people were doing it. As time has gone on it has become way more accepted and embraced. Like most things, when you are on the cutting edge of what is normal, it can be a lonely path for some time before others step into the same path. Now that I have been able to look back on these years to see what a beautiful journey this has been and how even in the difficulties, beautiful things were taking root. This has allowed me to heal many things and step into more of the truth of who I am. I feel blessed to be able to sit with individuals every day and watch them step into their truth and light.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Transformative Path helps remove obstacles that are blocking individuals from stepping into their authentic selves. Transformative Path offers individual sessions and training for removing what has created dysfunction in their life. I specialize in working with empathic/intuitive individuals to heal and step back into their gifts. This enables the individual to take this positive change into their homes and lives to help create positive shifts in their worlds. Often, there have been traumas and experiences that block their truth. I have a holistic approach to working with clients. Each person is different, and all tools are not a fit for everyone. Following are the services that are offered: Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, Somatic work, Breath therapy, EMDR, Coaching, Counseling, Polarity, Craniosacral, Past life Regressions, and RoHun. Sound Therapy.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I feel that this field is really going to continue to grow. We are a society that no longer wants to wait for illnesses and diseases to happen to be able to make a change. There is awareness that our thought process is the first step in creating dysfunction, and this is apparent in research and what individuals are looking for. Our world is in a huge transition and our medical system is not sustainable in the way that it is. New systems need to be able to be put into place in order to create positive changes for everyone, not just some. I feel this work hits right in these areas.
