Community Highlights: Meet Ryan Berry of Berry Digital Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Berry.

Hi Ryan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers. 
I started my first business, Berry Digital Solutions LLC, just over 11 years ago to escape the corporate world I found myself stuck in for over a decade. I moved back to my hometown and simply put a sign in my front yard that said, “Computer repair.” I quickly became the trusted tech guy locally and saw immediate success. After solving several small business technology issues, it became abundantly clear that there was an even larger need for small business marketing, specifically in the digital world. I then found my current business partner, Chris Anders, who specialized in website development, and we put a strong focus on helping our community with website design and management. 

We now serve over 200 local clients including small businesses, cities and villages, non-profits, churches, and more. We took a unique approach to continuing to service websites after we launched them to ensure they continued to work for our clients. We have over a 95% retainership with clients we have worked with and continue to create unique digital solutions for our community. 

One large project we are working to grow now is our brand, Ohio Daily Digital. Our goal is to simplify local news, jobs, events, and community resources in over 100 communities across the state of Ohio. The project began in Urbana, Ohio, with County Commissioner funds and is now fully self-sufficient thanks to local advertising and community blasts. 

We are beginning to launch neighboring community websites to help bring back a local hub of information connecting communities digitally. We partner with local community leaders in organizations like Economic Development, the Chamber of Commerce, and the United Way. We truly believe that we can make a huge positive impact to any community in Ohio. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In the ever-changing world of technology, every day has its unique challenges. We have been very lucky to recruit amazing talent along the way as we grew our team. Every team member has a very solid problem-solving skill set, and it is put to the test every day for our clients. 

We’ve been impressed with Berry Digital Solutions LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are proud to properly encompass our community via digital channels. We specialize in all aspects of digital marketing, starting with your website presence and building digital relationships that connect back to that asset. We also specialize in digital advertising options such as social ads, web ads, and Google ads. 

We are proud to not only break down the complexities of digital marketing for our clients but also proud to be a trusted resource in the field. We are trusted by large partners like Google, cities and villages, non-profits, and churches. 

We have built our business on a foundation of treating people right and actually doing what we say. We often joke that this should be common sense for any business, but unfortunately, that is not the case. 

What makes you happy?
I love helping people with technology. Tech can frustrate people who don’t fully understand it, and I love leaving people with not only a solution to their problem but also a better understanding of how technology works.
