Hi Nav, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2015/16, we considered opening a pizza franchise at the property my brother and father had purchased. The pizza idea didn’t work out, and we started looking into BBQ. I took a trip down south to cities like Memphis and Nashville, and I was hooked. I wanted to bring something like that to Ohio City.
Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
The road was tough when opening any business, but things were good until COVID-19 happened, and things haven’t been the same. You have to keep going.
We’ve been impressed with Real Smoqed BBQ, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share about what you do and what sets you apart?
We are a family-owned and operated BBQ restaurant specializing in Smoked meats in Ohio City on Lorain Ave. We have been open for 6 years, won several awards, and received recognition from various local organizations and outlets. We have a very loyal following in Cleveland, and we thank them all for their support and love.
