Community Highlights: Meet Lamar Cromwell of LEC Concierge

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lamar Cromwell. 

Hi Lamar, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
A native of and entrepreneur in Columbus, Ohio. After serving time in the military and as a Federal Agent, I returned to Columbus and launched my own business, LEC Concierge. I started out running errands for clients and doing small administrative tasks. That evolved to coordinating photoshoots and assisting during fashion shows. Evolving from there I started assisting and managing elements of weddings and trade shows. From there I started branching out and have worked large fashion shows in Columbus, OH, New York, NY & Miami, FL as well as multi- day music festivals and conferences to with a highlight being assisting with and managing events on the Tom Joyner Foundation Voyage Cruise. In addition to events, I also coordinate book signings, do media management & advertising consultation, business research and consulting & maintaining client’s schedules, calendar & email management, as well as website creation to name a few of the tasks I routinely do. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road and I didn’t expect it to be, but it has been extremely rewarding. I have a passion for helping people and to receive a compliment or to know something was made better/easier because of me pushes me to face the next challenge. 

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I offer event management, production coordination, wedding assistance (planning, day of coordination & bridal assistant services), administrative & virtual assistant, as well as driving and VIP hosting services. 

I fill in gaps for my clients, I have a broad range of in-depth experience as well as an accomplished network of professionals that I bring with me to a client. From creating and managing a budget to managing hundreds of RSVPs and the questions that come with them, my clients are free to push off most tasks to my plate. 

I do what you a) don’t know how to do, b) don’t have time to do, or c) just don’t want to do. From getting coffee to managing projects/tasks I’m an asset to every client. Not to mention I absolutely love spreadsheets & graphs…
