Hi Erin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey began after 15 years in corporate marketing, where visual storytelling was a key part of what I did every day. That skill translated naturally into home design when we moved into our current home, and I started customizing the space to truly fit our lifestyle. I quickly saw how powerful it was to use 3D visualization to see the potential in a space, especially when there’s overwhelming options or uncertainty in where to start. What began as helping friends with residential updates has grown into a full-time business that now includes light commercial projects too. Whether I’m working with a busy family or a local business, my goal is always to make design feel approachable and tailored, using 3D visualizations to bring clarity and confidence to every decision.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was a big decision to walk away from a corporate role that provided financial stability and structure. I believed in what I was building, but it was still a leap of faith to think I could replace that income on my own terms. As a solopreneur, managing client work alongside operations, admin, and planning is a constant balancing act. And while I initially missed the camaraderie of a team, I’ve found that connection again through local networks and partnerships with others navigating the small business world. The road hasn’t been without bumps, but it’s been incredibly rewarding.

Milestone Home Design helps people feel at ease and excited about their spaces, whether they’ve just moved in, are starting a renovation, or simply want a fresh look. I offer residential and light commercial design services, with 3D visualization at the heart of my process. This gives clients a clear picture of what’s possible before making big decisions. My most popular offering is a two-hour onsite consult, where clients leave with ideas, direction, and renewed confidence. I’m known for a collaborative, down-to-earth style that prioritizes client goals, lifestyle, and budget. No pressure, no rigid design rules, just practical support and honest guidance.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I’ve learned that success isn’t just about skill or hard work – it’s about building trust, and that comes from showing up consistently. Whether it’s with a client, a collaborator, or myself, trust grows when there’s follow-through. I’ve had to trust my vision, trust the value I bring, and stay committed even when progress felt slow. Over time, it’s that consistency, paired with authenticity, that’s helped me build a business rooted in strong relationships, real results, and a process clients can truly rely on.
