Today we’d like to introduce you to Cincinnati Food Truck Association. Them and their team share their story with us below:
In 2013, our co-founders: Emily Frank, Elizabeth Romero-Lipscomb, and Tracy Sims saw that Cincinnati’s Food Truck Community needed an entity that would advocate for them. They decided to co-found the Cincinnati Food Truck Association which would help established entrepreneurs increase their capacity to take advantage of new business opportunities to better their business growth. The Cincinnati Food Truck Association supported Cincinnati Food Trucks by creating a market in which food trucks, trailers, vendors, and patrons alike can work together for the betterment of the industry,
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The board researched and reached out to several food truck associations in major cities. The Cincinnati Food Truck Association was formed in 2013, with 11 members. The board began to work with the City of Cincinnati to get the food truck pilot program, passed. Worked with the Cincinnati Regional Chamber to get food trucks for events around the city. The Taste of Cincinnati began to include food trucks in their event and created a food truck alley.
The board worked on educating our customers and event planners that food trucks sell high-quality food and are safe to eat from. There are of course always struggles along the way. Everything takes patience and work and a great group of food truckers helped us set a great example of what delicious food trucks look like. Now the Cincinnati Food Truck Association has over 60 + members that are bringing culinary goodness to the streets.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
