Community Highlights: Meet Andrea Beaver of Cincinnati Health Institute

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Beaver.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have always had an interest in health and wellness. I played several sports growing up in rural China Grove, North Carolina. I went to Pfeiffer University where I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science.

I became interested in chiropractic after being injured in a car accident. I was intrigued with the holistic approach and focusing on the health and wellness of the person as a whole. I attended Palmer Chiropractic in Florida and obtained an internship at the acclaimed Cincinnati Health Institute where I was mentored by Dr. Gregory Woeste. Dr. Woeste’s passion for nutrition and preventive medicine inspired me to start my Certification in functional medicine and begin my practice in natural medicine and integrative wellness at Cincinnati Health Institute.

I have been with Cincinnati Health Institute for 10 years and in my time here have helped hundreds of patients address their health concerns, identify the root cause of dysfunction, heal from the inside out and live their best life.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The need for instant gratification: Healing from the inside out isn’t like conventional medicine. I can not prescribe a pill to instantly make a particular symptom go away, nor do I want to. Results can be quick, but often it takes time, testing and a commitment on both our parts to make real lifestyle and wellness changes.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Cincinnati Health Institute?
I work to identify the root cause of disease or dysfunction in my patients. My practice addresses metabolic health and wellness. I also coach patients to achieve wellness with lifestyle changes.

Due to the nature of our business, we’ve been able to see firsthand what products patients are looking for and what products work. After years of experimenting with different brands, we developed our private product line: CHI4Health. Our unique position offered us the opportunity to apply our knowledge and experience to our own line of supplements that reflects the quality we have demanded in the products we prescribe. We were able to ensure the products had the quality, purity, effectiveness, and therapeutic dosing necessary to achieve optimal wellness results. We are so proud to offer CHI4Health doctor-recommended supplements and hope to expand into other health and wellness products in the future.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Gregory Woeste, D.C. I started working with Dr. Woeste as an intern in 2011 as I was finishing my Chiropractic Degree. Dr. Woeste’s passion for nutrition and functional medicine helped me construct the way I practice today. His vision for lifestyle modification with focusing on diet, digestion, and detoxification has integrated into your style of practice. He has been an inspiration and a true delight to work with.
