Check Out Voni Aleem’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Voni Aleem.

Voni Aleem

Hi Voni, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello, my name is Javoni (Voni), and I’ve been a public personal wardrobe stylist for going on 2 years. I’ve been styling and doing content on the side for almost 5 years. I’m 22 years old and really became interested in making it my career when I was 17/18. I’ve always been super girly and very detail oriented since I was about 9 or 10. When I would wear uniforms in elementary and middle school, I would always wear a lot of accessories and find any way to have my uniform with my “touch” on it. I’ve always been into fashion and current studying Public Relations with a minor in Fashion Media at Kent State University. My goal by the beginning of 2024 is to be a published celebrity stylist for high-end magazines, celebrities, award shows, etc.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I used to struggle with procrastination and not truly believing in myself. I had to teach myself discipline, learning how to create content, consistency, etc. Everything I know now is purely based off of me. I was scared to promote myself and be more open with people at first, but now it’s second nature for me. I’m still currently trying to get more clientele, but the big end goal is to finally get my first model or celebrity!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Personal Wardrobe Stylist. I style anyone for music videos, photoshoots, events, magazines, night outs. Anything you need, I can style you for! I’m most proud of my growth of the years; I still have a lot of learning and growing to do, but I’m no longer shy & afraid to show my work to the world & what I can do. I’m proud of my consistency and remaining positive through the hardships I’ve had. I think what sets me apart is I’m not afraid to put something different on, I’m not afraid of being the only one “overdressed” for an event, I’m not afraid of having a client step out of what they’re used to wearing and comfortable with. Fashion is all about having fun. Fashion is limitless

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy is seeing my clients happy with their outfits. Seeing them post pictures in my work, looking confident as ever! The end results always excite me the most with feedback
