Check Out Trinity Collins’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trinity Collins

Hi Trinity, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Since as long as I can remember, I have always been interested in any art form. Wether that’s painting, drawing, designing, poetry, marketing, etc. My parents; my mom and my step-father are also creatives, so they were always easily able to put me in positions to do the things I love, wether that was around the house or elsewhere. The first couple programs I was introduced to I learned all about painting, sketching, spray painting, and more. I started doing my own murals and loved it. Once I was in middle school I did graphic design. But when COVID hit, I started a custom tie-dye business, with a couple collaborations. After COVID, I went back to the mural program the summer before my freshman year. Throughout my first year of high school, I fell in love with the world of fashion and I wanted to learn more. Throughout that school year I did a program with LMNH X Vans called ‘The Next Era’. Shortly after, the summer before my sophomore year I joined the ‘Future of Fashion’ program created by the Columbus Fashion Alliance that completely changed my life. This past summer; with interests in marketing and fashion, I joined the Content Creator Camp. I sharpened my knowledge of marketing and personal branding to help with my social media presence. Since then, I’ve been working on becoming a content creator, posting on Instagram and TikTok and focusing on fashion and lifestyle content. I have also started a YouTube channel a couple months ago, that (currently) has about 70 subscribers!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Honestly, it has not always been a smooth road. Covid really took a toll on me and creating, It definitely gave me creative block, which I still get at times, but I learn to push through and to not only create when I’m down, as creating has become a vital pillar for me. Another struggle I definitely want to be real about is mental health. My mental health has impacted my creative process, and content creation as well, and I want to be able to bring awareness to teen mental health, as I feel like it’s not talked about enough.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I wouldn’t say I have one thing I specialize in. But I think the work I’m known for is all my work. I think I’m known for my versatility and that’s what makes me unique in that way. I work with poetry, painting, photography, marketing, design, styling, drawing, etc. And all of these things I do combined is what I am most proud of, and makes me know that I am capable of doing more.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as accomplishment based on a goal that you’ve given yourself based on aim, purpose, and passion that will benefit you within time.
