Check Out T King’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to T King

Hi T, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I always felt the passion for art watching my mother do paintings of peoples families as a child. I was very intrigued and interested and began drawing myself.’
Then one day one of my friends came over saw my drawings and asked me if I could tattoo him, and that’s how my tattoo journey started.
Years later countless hours of trial and error here I am. Honestly I feel you get out what you put in ! I give people the experience and art work I would want myself and treat people as I would want to be treated ! I feel that has got me where I am today remembering where I came from what I had and what I didn’t while staying humble and honest.
I know I wouldn’t be where I am today without the strength and support of my family. My wife is my balance pushes me and gives it to me whether I like it or not ! Our children are our biggest blessing, the last three being triplets has been our constant reminder that our journey together was destined.
With that I get up everyday and push for my family because they deserve it ! We opened up Tattoo Kings five years ago and it’s been great, giving our artists a good professional space and fun environment to work in.
So my tattoo journey hasn’t been just tattooing for me It’s my life and everything behind the scenes that has blossomed my career, from my family to tattooing professional athletes to being a business owner. None of this is possible with God!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road transitioning from working under a shop owner to becoming a shop owner. While building clientele not just for myself but for my artists as well !

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What sets me apart from others? I’m very versatile when it comes to tattooing. I can do black-and-white realism, traditional, fine line, color, coverups, smp ( scalp micro pigmentation) i’ve also learned how to combine my style with existing work to bring it back to life and make it look like one piece flowing together!
What I’m most known for is my black and gray realism and coverups.

What’s next?
To grow as a company and keep producing good artwork. for good people

Pricing:

  • Pricing is a hard question. Every tattoo is different. Whether it’s color a cover-up a portrait but honestly, I just work off an hourly rate anymore..
