Check Out Noelia Royster’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Noelia Royster. 

Hi Noelia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
In 2018 I decided I wanted to return to the beauty industry. But I wanted to make my own schedule, work part-time and be my own boss. I also wanted to do something that was fulfilling and made people feel good. I reached out to a local Spray Tan Artist that I had come to my house to give me a spray tan. She gave me some great advice and from there I started looking to find the best solution that no other Artist had in Northeast Ohio. My sister actually found Globody which is located in North Carolina. I reached out to them and they were great. They helped me start my mobile spray tan business and trained me. After many months of practicing on family and friends, I decided to jump out there and find paying clients. Now 3 years later and surviving through a pandemic I have manage to have consistent clients and grow each year. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Especially having a small business during a pandemic. When the government decided to shut the beauty industry down, I decided that I wanted to keep my family and clients safe. So, I followed the rules! Clients were understanding and supportive. They reached out for products and bought gift certificate for future appointments. They reminded me that when you put good out into the world, it comes back to you when you need it the most. 

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I own a mobile spray tan business. There aren’t many in Northeast Ohio. I bring a luxury spray tan experience to your home. All the solutions and products I use are vegan, paraben-free, and cruelty-free. I carry different shades so I can give my clients a customized spray tan that is right for their complexion. No orange smelly tans for my clients. I love that I can bring my clients a healthy glo in the comfort of their home and make them feel better. A spray tan instantly puts you in a good mood! 

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I am born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Grew up in the east side but now live on the west side. I love that I experienced both sides. Cleveland is in my blood and I wouldn’t change that for anything. I love how loyal people are in Cleveland. From supporting our local sports teams to supporting small businesses, Clevelander’s are always there to support. I do feel like there can be more diversity in our local small businesses and with local influencers. The lack of diversity can be daunting.
