Check Out Narada Myers’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Narada Myers.

Hi Narada, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Throughout my life, I’ve always been passionate about people and understanding them. In the workforce, I’ve been in the hospitality/restaurant industry for over a decade. Recently in the past few years, I’ve ventured into the world of marketing, going from traditional marketing to digital. My current role is Supporter Relations at the Columbus Crew. Having the mix of strategic creative planning with the fundamentals of connecting with people and hit the roots of human interaction is what I’m all about. Balance! On the other side, I’m a dance teacher (hip hop), model, and poet

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
My life as not been easy but educational and eventful. Going through the loss of multiple family members, especially my mother, has been tough even to this day, but I focus on the impact that my mother has made on me, and I strive to be a better man and person regardless.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I work as Support Relations at Columbus Crew. I deal with fan engagement, fan outreach, and fan experience. I help with operations during match days. Also, work with the rest of the marketing department on other projects and initiatives.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
My only advice is to put yourself in rooms that you feel you are unqualified for. You never know what blessing are waiting for you when you take that leap of faith.
