Check Out Morgan Davis’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Davis.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I graduated Aveda Fredrics Institute in 2013. I am a licensed cosmetologist and love doing hair & makeup. Unfortunately,, there weren’t a lot of jobs within the bridal industry back in 2013 where I was located so I ventured out to start my own! I started doing New Year’s Eve hair & makeup with an airbrush machine my momma got me & after that, it just became word of mouth and we blew up from there. We do over 120 weddings a year and continue to grow. While having the clientele We have built from the ground up, I thought what If we opened a bridal boutique that sold everything BUT the wedding dress? Most bridal boutiques are dresses, veils, hair pieces, etc. we decided to have a shop where you can shop for your dad or your mom or bridesmaids or flower girls all in one store! From gifts to bridesmaid boxes, decor, robes, slippers, Bachlorette supplies and so much more! So, we took a leap of faith & it brought us to downtown Hamilton!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wouldn’t call it smooth as we had more obstacles jumping in our way every moment of this process it felt like. Me and my fiancé looked at each other and literally said “this has to work right? With how many things are going wrong right now, this has the be the story how we succeed” after all, every business starts from the bottom! ❤️

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We own a bridal boutique but we are also the faces behind the hair and makeup on our bride’s big day. We have a team of 15 girls that work so hard every weekend. We all have extensive training & specialize in airbrush makeup. We are all so in love with the bridal industry & we can’t see where it takes us. To think I started in a kitchen doing makeup for New Year’s Eve, to over 120 weddings and 15 artists & a bridal boutique later. It really shows you hard work & dedication pays off in the long run. I am so blessed to be doing what I love every single day.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
If there is any tip, I can give to anyone about to start their own small business. It IS scary. It will be hard. And you may fall a million times, but man WHEN you start flying it’s a true blessing to see where you started to where you will end up! Keep going and keep the faith ❤️
