Check Out Mitchell Bienvenue’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mitchell Bienvenue.

Hi Mitchell, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Hello! My name is Mitchell Bienvenue.

Just a kid from Columbus, Ohio.

Graduated from Thomas Worthington in 2015.

Went onto College to be an Ohio State Buckeye. Being from Columbus, it was always my dream to attend The Ohio State University.

After three years at Ohio State, it was time for me to follow another dream. It was time for me to head south to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and pursue the yachting industry.

Became a deckhand on a 50-meter yacht (164 feet) with 11 total crew from around the world.

Traveled 10,000 nautical miles in 18 months. Locations from Newport, Rhode Island to the Bahamas and all around the Caribbean.

During my time in yachting, I downloaded TikTok and was documenting my experiences on TikTok and Instagram.

I moved back home after a year and a half and continued to TikTok, only this time about my love for the great state of Ohio and my life experience living with Ulcerative colitis.

Recently I have been serving and bartending at a private club and marina on Catawba Island and living on the shores of Lake Erie excited for what’s next to come as I will continue to create content for my personal brand and “It’s Not All Black&White” (A podcast I co-host with my best friend)

Our Podcast description:

“Life isn’t simply black or white, so Romain & Mitchell discuss all the gray areas of society, culture, & life itself.”

You are the author of your own story so make it a good one. That is exactly what I am trying to do!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life isn’t always smooth sailing. It never is. One of the hardest decisions I had to make for myself was dropping out of my dream school to pursue an industry I virtually knew nothing about. But making that decision was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life to this point.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My dream is to be able to create content full-time and make a living by monetizing it. Building my personal brand and “It’s Not All Black&White.” I currently create a lot of content around the topic of the state of Ohio. Being able to partner with businesses in this great state and promote all Ohio has to offer is an honor. Ohio is beautiful, and there is a lot of beauty to be found here. I love being able to shine a light on the established, the opportunity, and the potential Ohio has to offer!

I am proud of creating content around Ulcerative Colitis and letting individuals who are battling IBD on a daily basis know they are not alone.

I am proud of being feature in two Dockwalk Magazine articles while working in the Yachting Industry.

I am proud of building a portrait photography side hustle.

I am proud of co-hosting an amazing podcast with my best friend that has a positive, uplifting message.

What sets me apart, I believe is my unapologetic optimism I have on my view on the world and my belief I have in the greater good of people. There are incredible people and stories all over this world, and we need to shine more light on the good this world has to offer. Let’s continue to connect and unite people. We are all human and need to work as one team to make the place we are living in better.

Shoot for the moon and land among the stars.
