Hi Meredith , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
Haute Air Balloons was born at the intersection of ‘how do I stay relevant during a pandemic as an event professional?’ and ‘’how do I stay safe and still have my creative outlet during a pandemic?’ The answer to both questions was and still is BALLOONS. Balloons provided a contact free and super fun way for everyone to still celebrate important milestones while staying safe in their homes. At home celebrations were on the rise and so was Haute Air Balloons! After obtaining two prestigious degrees from the world renowned DIY and YouTube Universities, Haute Air Balloons made it’s debut as a luxury balloon styling firm. Creating one of kind, over the top balloon installations.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road! Balloons are by nature ultra persnickety and require a confident handler. The road to learning balloons has been fun…. But suffice it to say….. more than a few balloons were harmed during this process. Additionally, large scale installations require a whole new level of confidence, both on the part of the Balloon Stylist and the space owner.
And lastly….. much of what I do is self taught. While there are other balloon businesses in the area, I set out to do a much different thing. There are no manuals…… no self help tools and no real business models to pattern. Bringing a vision to life requires patience, lots of trial and errors, FAITH and bounds of courage. 🙂

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I style balloons on a large scale for celebrations of all types. I specialize in large scale organic balloon installation that inspire and delight. I’m most proud of the courage I’ve gained through the process of creating and delivering to the world a unique and temporary art installation. Sharing a personal work of art is scary… overcoming that fear has been an important step in this journey. My spunk and willingness set me apart….. oh yea… And also…. My big balloons!

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
To value my time and creativity and to enjoy the process.

I also learned that not everyone sees your value and that’s ok too.

Pricing:

• I price my installations at about $25 per footish. It’s difficult to use linear equations as the work is so abstract.
