Check Out Latasha Raines’ Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Latasha Raines.

Latasha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started in 2014 as a Certified Wedding and Events planner and was blessed to have planned weddings, vow renewals, baby showers, and milestone birthday parties. After a year of hosting the various events, I decided in 2015 to host a vendor event for small business owners, and that is where I found my passion. Since 2015, I have hosted several vendor events throughout the year I have also added on my service-based business as a Vendor Coordinator and have created my Excelling in Vending program for small business owners to prepare them with tips and tools when it comes to being a vendor at events, in 2018, I founded the Kidz in Biz expo which is vendor event hosted semi-annually for young entrepreneurs under the age of 18. I am now venturing out to other states to host events, with the vision of hosting larger expos at convention centers.

I also specialize in custom items such as T-shirts, custom drinkware, and business branding items.

I just launched my own clothing line called Be’Cuz I Can, which is an affirmational line to tell your own personal story of how you can make it through any trail, storms, and diagnosis that may come into y0ur life. Each customer has the opportunity to choose the following hashtags overmeasure and withstand.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road due to finances, lack of community/city support when it comes to the events.

When it comes to the custom items, as with any business, it has its up and downs, but as long as I know my vision, I can only keep going.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am known for my Vendor Events, and I believe that what sets me apart is my passion for my events and my vendors. I don’t only host the event; vendors can come to me after my event with help when it comes to other events, help with table setup, or just to get my opinion on things when it comes to vending.

I’m most proud of the relationships and respect that I have gained during my 7 years of hosting events.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I wouldn’t call it luck; I will say that I’m grateful for the gift that God has blessed me with when it comes to my passion of helping others.
